Fantastic location, new hotel so it’s super clean comfy and tidy. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast was exceptional. Would’ve been great to have mugs not cups for hot drinks and the toilet paper was cheap quality but aside from that I’d recommend

This hotel was perfect for an overnight visit to the city. We opted not to do the check in in the app (required documents for everyone - kids included - and seemed like too much effort to input everyone’s passport details). The room was spacious and well appointed. The only challenge was getting an elevator to breakfast on Saturday morning. They were packed and taking the stars was not allowed. The breakfast buffet was worth it though! Great and varied options. We would certainly choose this hotel again.

Great stay at the Riu Plaza! The rooms were shockingly small, but had everything we needed for the night. Was surprised to see there was a mini fridge! Nice bathroom, my husband loved the rainshower feature. The staff were wonderful as well! They were still doing a few finishing touches on the property (lobby) while we were there, so it was a little congested at the elevator bay, but not anything worthy of ruining our stay! We were in the city for a concert, it was a great/convenient location for the hotel & very easy to get an Uber/Taxi. We also walked to several bars/restaurants close by. Great buffett breakfast, i went early around 730 to scope it out while my husband slept. Grabbed a coffee & ad advised them id be back lol! They had an impressive spread, 2 sections of hot food* the one near the main entrance can get busy, but if you go to the drink area, there is a second hot section tucked in the corner*. They had tons of baked goods - i had a danish, donut & a chocolate croissant (all great). And i made myself a protein breakfast bowl with their scrambled eggs (they have plain & a scrambled egg with veggies option), 2 types of sausages, bacon, baked beans, and sauted mushrooms. They also have a cold section with deli meats, cheeses & fresh fruit. Cereal & oatmeal as well. Loved that they have a hot milk dispenser as well, used that with my coffee! Overall, really lovely stay. Best price in the city for that quality/quantity. I hope they can keep these rates!

However we had an awkward and unprofessional moment when staff entered our room without knocking expecting us to be out of the room (“checked out), while we still were in the room. No apology was issued by that staff. Also hotel doesn’t provide any complementary umbrellas.

The location was great but the AC wasn’t working the entire first night in my room. They sent a tech up who said it was an issue in the whole building. It was 75 in the room all night and extremely hot. When I inquired in the morning at the front desk, there was zero apology, zero accountability. The fix was to change rooms, yet this was a hotel wide issue. I was stunned at the lack of customer service or care for someone staying four nights.

I stayed here for a staycation celebrating my SO's birthday. Put us right in the middle of everything we wanted to see (close to many Toronto sight-seeing destinations). The staff is FRIENDLY -- they all seem to enjoy working here! When they realized it was my SO's birthday, they upgraded our room -- very much appreciated! Breakfast was quite lavish -- every kind of food you might want to eat, plus a well-stocked cut fruit section (which I appreciated). Very much enjoyed our stay!

We had an excellent stay here. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel was so sound proof, so the noise of being downtown was non existent. The location is so convenient for many important locations. The included breakfast is shockingly good. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. This hotel will likely be a go-to for us for future stays.
