10/10 Excellent

"Our stay was perfect. The King ocean view room was beautiful and renovated with an amazing view of the ocean thru the canopy of the cliff side trees. The trees are the perfect wind block and it has a luxurious tree house feel. The room was very well cleaned. No traffic noise or noise from other guests. The staircase to the beach was awesome! And the beach out front has no crowd. This is truly a gem of the PNW and minutes from picturesque Seabrook and multiple beach accesses so you can drive on the beach. When we first pulled up the building looks run down, sign was missing, and I was like hmm… but the friendly staff and the room and the restaurant and the all around vibe of this place more then cancels out the large volume of deferred maintenance on the exterior. If this place is still standing… we will be back for another stay 100%. Step up and get that renovated ocean view room, it’s well worth the extra money. Thanks Ocean Crest!"

"The good: The train trestle and bridge over the whishkah river was rad and made for a picturesque view out our ground floor room window. The sound proofing in the rooms is top notch. Couldn't hear a peep from neighbors unless you are out in the hallway. Couldn't hear the train either. The pool and hot tub are open till 10pm for kids and 12am for adults. The two days we stayed we had the hot tub and pool to ourselves in the later hours. The bad: Breakfast was tasty and there was a large variety buuuutttttt.... it gave us the needle farts so we skipped the eggs and bacon on the second morning and was fine with waffles, yogurt, biscuits (no gravy this time), milk, and juice. The ugly: My mother was a cleaning lady a long time ago and taught me to strip down the room upon departure. 1. To help expedite the house cleaners job and 2. To ensure it is properly cleaned for the next Tennant. Well, per my usual procedure, I piled all used towels in the bathroom and then stripped the linens off the bed into a pile on the floor. When we unzipped the mattress cover, we gasped at each other because hiding under us as we slept was a stain so large and disgusting, it looked like the stains dead bodies leave behind that have laid to rot on a mattress for a few days-like in those crime time shows from the 90s.... The unacceptable: There was no Bible in the room. We let them know at the front desk and the staff apologized because the owner of the hotel had all bibles removed."

"Poor service, asked to see the manager multiple times and they refused to let me so them. Charged me over double what was promised on hotels.com (Had to close out my card because they kept charging more). Pool looked clean, but the hot tub water was nasty (lake nasty) WiFi only work in the lobby. Breakfast was a joke. No waffle batter, no toaster for the bread or bagels, no butter, juice was disgusting Left after the first night and canceled the rest of my vacation because of them. Filling fraud charges due to the extra billings."

"The outside looks like an old motel, but the rooms were very impressive. They looked as if they had been completely renovated with new wood floors, new sheet rock and finishing, new baseboards and doors and trim. A nice size smart TV and a hide abed couch that looked new with a coffee table. A small desk and chair. pictures and wall decor was lovely. Bed was very comfortable with many pillows. The bathroom looked completely new. And the price couldn't be beat for what we got. Very lovely inside."
