DeDanau hotel was a lovely little hotel in a place that most people just visit for a day to see the famous temple, which is directly across the street you could not ask for a better location. While the hotel is good the attentive staff put this place over the top. The staff did a great job cleaning every day and provided a great breakfast to get you going in the morning. It was really a nice place to stay in this under-rated area of Bali.
We were looking for a place near the beratan temple. This was just right in front of it. The staff were nice, helpful, and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. It has nice views of the lake. The rooftop even has nicer views. The welcome drink (ginger tea with brown sugar) was delicious. The mie goreng and nasi goreng for breakfast was also delicious. We enjoyed our stay.
Hotel is clean. Good sunrise and lake view. Breakfast buffet selection is limited. When occupancy rate is below 50%, only a limited a la carte selection is available.
The hotel has a good location and modern design, but thats about it.
The room had a smell, was far from clean and the staff spoke bad english. The bathroom got closed and had to open by a key nobody told us about.
The resturant closed earlier than staff told us, and there was no other resturants open serving fold by 7-8 o clock.
Im totally aware that most hotels are not totally clean, but when there are multiple dirty spots on the bed sheets it gets disgusting. We had also a cockroach, mosqoito and spiser in the room.
Make sure to close the bathroom door as it has direct access to the outside through the ceiling.
I would recommend a stay at Dedanau Hotel, especially if you can get a lake view room on the second floor. Beautiful to look out at the lake and mountains. It’s only a 5 minute walk down to the water and temple.
Spacious, clean, modern room with an unusually big balcony. Only downside for me was that there were no lamps or light switches near the bed. One switch by the door - so very unusual to have to navigate a (large) hotel room in the dark. I did ask for lamps at reception thinking it was an oversight but apparently it wasn’t.
On the third floor there are facilities that I wasn’t expecting. A room with a pool table. A massive tv screen with comfy chairs. Great terrace with seating. I discovered those when going for breakfast. Information in the room or at check-in would be great. So much more there than I had realised.
Main restaurant for lunch/dinner is a couple of minutes away but they will bring room service.
Lift is helpful inside the main building but there are external stairs (about 12 steps) to get inside building.
I would definitely return. With a few tweaks this could be excellent.
The hotel location is superb! We watched the fog lifted slowly from the lake and mountain in front of our room and saw the sunrise. Beautiful, peaceful. The staff are great and helpful, the room is clean (no bugs!), beds are comfy. Breakfast is plenty and served to our room. Love it!!
Basic! Room was nice and clean. Extremely close to Ulun Danu Trmple. That’s why I booked. No A/C, only ceiling fan. Room got extremely humid by morning. Elevator doesn’t go to ground floor. Super basic breakfast.
