"The property has a very unique style and is in a great location. Having car parking in central Bristol is a bonus. We were very kindly upgraded to a premium room due to my disability. We were allocated a front room but as the property is old there is no double glazing so you could hear people talking as they were walking past and the delivery lorry at 7.30 am. Also we had a room with a connecting door so we could hear the guests next doors every word. As it's an old building I would imagine that the walls are quite thick and may not be a problem in other rooms. Also the quirky wardrobe doors are made from metal and make a lot of noise when being opened and closed so we heard other guests doors banging. The bed was a comfy king-size. We didn't take the breakfast or use the bar so cannot comment on those. The toilet paper was very thin so you had to use so much of it. A better quality would save them money. I was glad that I had taken my own mirror as the dressing table had the TV above rather than a mirror. I would stay again but not in a front room."

"Really helpful staff member on arrival - This is a self-check in hotel, but the staff member very graciously guided me through the online check-in process when I had trouble. Really nice room- just a shame that the Aircon didn’t work on a particularly hot evening, so I didn’t sleep well, but when I mentioned it upon checkout, they assured me that that would be fixed so I imagine it’s a one off. While they offered a free canned water and chocolate bar as part of the club rooms, because there was no fridge or working Aircon, these were warm and the chocolate bar was melted. A mini fridge would be a nice addition to the club rooms - just a suggestion :) Other than that, the facilities were great - I took advantage of the gym and spa pass which was excellent for the price. Breakfast was also good and the bar/ restaurant has a really modern cool look. Would definitely stay again (once the air cons sorted). Thanks for a really nice stay and I look forward to an even better experience next time."

The Old Mill Hotel

"The Old Mill in Batheaston would have once been an amazing venue situated right on the picturesque Avon River, but now, sadly, needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to a better standard. Fixtures and fittings are all good quality but some need a little repair. Air conditioning would be a great addition as room was extremely hot but England was suffering from a heatwave, so it is unlikely that this is a common occurrence. Having said all this, we would happily stay there again."

"Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay here. Everything about it was top notch - room, staff, hotel property, and the spa was amazing. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Did I mention the spa was amazing? Location was perfect too and everything was within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again."
