"Our room was renovated, so that was nice. A very lovely view of the water! And a nice area to take the dog. A few minor things like broken screens (so we couldn't open the windows), loud bathroom fan, and broken picnic table in the yard made it look a bit rough. The person at the desk when we checked in kept yelling at the staff. He seemed unhappy."

"Such a special place! Dark sky’s for a beautiful Milky Way night sky! Nice simple clean decor. Beautiful sun rise. The kayaking swimming looked like they would be great and I wish I had time to stay longer. Comfortable bed."

"Clean room, comfy beds. Good amount of space. Only downfall was the coffee machine was tiny and the pot handle wasn’t situated on the pot properly. There were no facecloths in the bathroom and the shower refused to give hot water, despite leaving it running for over 5 minutes!"
Staying by the Lakeside Cottages

"Couldn't ask for more. We've stayed at about a dozen different cottages in northern Ontario and Lakeside Cottages in Bruce Mines is the best. The beds are comfy, the price is reasonable, the cottage comes fully stocked (no upcharge for bedsheets like some places!!!), the kitchen is full and also stocked (salt and pepper and oil and coffee!!!), the cottages are clean and pretty, the view is amazing, the firewood is onsite and included (not $20 for a tiny bundle like some places...), reasonable canoe rentals, beautiful lawn and playground for the kids, and the hosts are so nice, great at communication! This is our second year visiting and we WILL be back!"
