I arrived late close to midnight. Could not access the room with the code provided. Hotel did and still has not responded to phone calls, emails or contact via hotels.com. i ended up sleeping in the basement on a mattress and am now at the train station and have not showered.

古い感じの民家です。トラムの駅まで徒歩５分です。共同のトイレとシャワーですし、メンテナンスも微妙です。スイスにしては安いですが、それ相応の施設です。トラムで他の駅まで行けば別ですが、近くに買い物のできる店は無いと思ってください。

Apartment im Nähe vom Rhein

Da war ein kurzes Schreckmoment, weil es keinen Vorhänge hatte und die Luxaflex abgebrochen war! Aber kurz nachdem es gemeldet war ist der Putzfrau vorbeigekommen un hat uns gezeigt wie mann die Fensterläden schliesen kann. (Etwas dumm von uns!) Das heisst Guter Service !

Oikein passeli paikka

Pidän tällaisista koodiavaimilla varustetuista paikoista, joissa kaikki toimii moitteettomasti ilman henkilökuntaa. Sijainti 1,5 kilometriä päärautatieasemalta oli kätevä, keskustan nähtävyydet (esim. Tinguely-museo), vanhakaupunki ja joki ovat kävelyetäisyydellä. Hyvä paikka, täällä aion yöpyä jatkossakin.

War alles sauber und in Ordnung. Wenn jedoch jemand im Treppenhaus hinauf oder hinabläuft ist jedes Zimmer wach durch die knarrende Holztreppe.

The location is good and the "automated check-in" is very handy. However it definitely needs refurbishing in the bathroom and kitchen. The bathtub was falling in pieces in some parts. Overall it was clean and quiet. The old building had the effect that the guests at the upper floor when moving sounded like they were moving furniture which is very unfortunate when this happens at 4.30am.

Shabby and reeking of cigarette smoke

It was my worst stay in Basel. Besides the fact that the apartment was very shabby (paint from doors and several walls was grinded off as if it had been prepared for a renovation but that renovation never came) it reeked of cigarette smoke. On the website it says that smoking in the flat is prohibited, but you could easily smell that people had been smoking in there. The cigarette ashes were on the window sills and even after 3 days of almost constantly keeping the windows open, the smell was as strong as before. Clearly lot a one time thing. Very annoying for me and also making me regret paying 170 CHF per night! The rest of the apartment was clean though.

Alles verlief ok, eine Email mit Schlüsselcode. Das Appartement alt, aber sauber und gut in Schuss mitten in Basel. Handtücher u.s.w. alles da! Im Summe zum Weiterempfehlen!

Its not what it shows on the pics. The 4th floor is like a nightmare. The toilet is so dirty, the room is tiny and smells so bad.

Günstiges Zimmer in schöner Lage

Im generell hochpreisigen Basel ist dies eine günstige Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Es liegt in einem schönen Quartier nur wenige Schritte vom Rheinufer. Gute Anbindung an Nahverkehr. Die Zimmer sind schlicht aber sehr sauber und geräumig. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, es sei denn die Nachbarn feiern. Es gibt Wlan, TV, Kühlschrank, Tisch, Stühle, Schrank, leider keine Gläser. Das Gemeinschaftsbad ist auch sehr geräumig. Unser Zimmer lag im vierten Stock, für Fußlahme nicht so gut geeignet.

Bien placée au demeurant cette petite maison sans ascenseur aux escaliers de bois A un chauffage qui fait tellement de bruit...q on peine à dormir malheureusement Il y a aussi des travaux dans le voisinage.

Just the bed and the basics and nothing else.

Ideal if it is just for a night or two. Bed was fine, towels were clean and the tv worked. Your own room and your own key. Free internet but i did not try it. So if it is good or bad dont know. Easy of access to get your key, no late check in so if you are late no one is really worried at reception. Negative found it hard to park the car for fear it would be clamped or a ticket begin applied. So it can be an issue. No breakfast but you are only paying for the bed to sleep in. Shared bathroom for me is a big no and no soap or shower gel. Everything else is there. Stairs creaked so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Noted that the people running the place were changing the bed linen at 9:20 even when checkout is at 10:30 in the morning and not at 9:30. Did i get my time wrong.

Too stressful

It's the worst stay I had, the room had TV not working the 1st day, and too much to walk up 4th floors with the luggage, and only one bathroom which always occupied morning and night. The cleaning guys wanted to go in my room early before 9.30am.

Good location if you have to go to downtown or the Congress Center. A decent deal for the money. You have to climb 4 flights of stairs. No elevator. I was in a rush to book a hotel so overall OK.
