"Halifax Holiday Park in Nelson Bay was a fantastic getaway and exceeded my expectations. "We went away for a night from Sydney and had been to the anchorage previously however it was a long time ago so we were blown away by the changes to the property, the interior design in the bar was lovely and appropriate for the location and star level of the hotel. A couple of observations that we could make would be that the bed was a queen and was with two mattresses, one mattress appeared to have lost some of its springs so needed replacing, the service in the bar was a bit slow and seemed...

"Located on a quiet street with private parking. Close to beaches and restaurants. A/C was not working well and rooms were not pre-cooled prior to arrival. Very clean and comfy basement apartment."

"Enjoyed our 1 night stay at the Seaside Holiday Resort Final Bay. The room had everything you would expect including milk and coffee. They are very clear in their communications that they don't make up beds (and charge a fee to do so), but that doesn't make it ok. It's unfortunate that this kind of cost cutting (along with extremely limited reception hours) is becoming common after Covid, and also feels unhygenic. I would be more likely to stay again if they offered full service, for this price...

"Stayed in the treehouse which was well presented, clean and in a setting was perfect for unwinding and switching off while still being close enough to everything the area has to offer. Would highly recommend and plan on coming back soon!"
