"It was a real treat to find an Expedia hotel that didn't disappoint. We were travelling Latin America and it was a real pleasure to stay at La Posada del Arte. The decor is fabulous and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and comfortable in this hotel. We only stayed one night as we had a strict time schedule. However the hotel made up for the disappointment of the town Banos. The problem for us was that we had already been to Iguazu Falls where the waterfalls are truly spectacular. Banos waterfalls could never compare and perhaps I am being a little harsh. If you are travelling in the area and looking for a lovely hotel with a delightful atmosphere this hotel is it."

"La Casa Verde is a great place to stay in Baños away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and river and not too far away from public transportation. Breakfast was delicious with a mix of fruits, eggs, bread and jam and juice, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Several restaurants are within walking distance!"

"Right next to the main square. Basic emenities and good enough breakfast. It was very noisy due to spa on top floor till 10pm and windows do not seal well, so use ear plugs to sleep well. The hotel did not provide a hairdryer either. Staff were friendly but for an area that relies mostly on tourism, hardly anyone speaks any basic english."

"Beautiful hostal with beautiful views. Very affordable. Friendly staff available at all hours. Delicious breakfast available for 4USD. While it is close to town, it is a steep uphill hike, so be ready, unless you’re driving, they have gated parking"

"Rocio was such a great host. Made us feel very welcome and was always available for whatever we needed. Offering us coffee and free laundry service were very generous gestures we really appreciated. The views from our room were spectacular. This is a family run business and their attention to detail really shows. We can’t wait to return to this oasis in the mountains."
