One of the best hotels I have stayed in. On this 3 month trip. Good service Good pool Great gym with a Boxing Ring! Definitely my go too hotel in Bangkok Would have liked a VIP upgrade but was not offered

This is the second time that I am staying with S31 Sukhumvit Hotel. The staff are friendly and amazing. The hotel is just across from the Emporium mall and all the happening places in Bangkok. It’s definitely a hotel you should consider staying on your trip to Bangkok.

Nice reception staff.
Things are changing for the better here. Lovely reception staff. Lovely bar staff including the manager. Concierge people are so friendly. And the security outside are super nice. Rooms are a little tired now but nice and comfy bed. Great Veiws over the mountains. Good gym and nice clean pool. Nice hotel. Keith

I asked the front for a bucket of ice to chill the wine bottle and the front staff replied me back instantly that I have to call the room service myself….I told her I need it now how come you cannot just call for me. Then the bucket came …. With super noisy knock on the door which made me scare and it came without ice… I really have no idea why this grade of hotel has the super poor service like these

Disappointing stay
We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and I it’s definitely gone downhill. The positives - the location is great , close to great restaurants shopping , grocery store and transportation… Downside The room smelled like smoke even though a non smoking room. The floors weren’t very clean . The bathroom was ok. Took forever to get an iron from housekeeping. I had to call three times. The staff downstairs at check in and check out were rude to guests. We checked out a day early, didn’t care even though I mentioned I wasn’t pleased and the staff didn’t adjust the price. Never staying here again.

I was staying in this hotel with my wife in 2 nights. I was arrived in mid night and the staff already well prepared the check-in information and room access card in advance which save a lot of time. The room is a bit unclean, the shower cubical is not clean it well. Drainage is poor in the shower cubical, toilet paper is not new due to ECO-friendly? Overall the stay is warm and nice with those passionate-staff. A bit unclean in the room and it’s a dated hotel.

Central location , awesome customer service . The pool Itself speaks for itself , I would recommend to anyone that loves to swim and have children, they gave me a free upgrade .

This was my second time staying in this hotel and for the same reasons: Close to BTS Skytrain, the two shopping Malls either side of the hotel which have very nice restaurants. When I checked in I was given a free welcome drink which was unexpected but a nice touch. It’s also not too far from the airport. Only downside was the rooftop restaurant advertised on the hotel website doesn’t exist.

Jack is the man
Best thing about this hotel is the breakfast although this time chief can’t cook fried eggs without breaking them or over cooking, and of course Jack on the concierge on the ground floor, always so helpful. Reception not nice people. Only one lady was kind the rest are ignorant. Aircon never good when I stay here. Dated rooms Keith

Wi-Fi is completely rubbish. Cost me money as I have to use mobile data to work. Where ever you login it just stops. I’ve stayed here lots of times now and it’s always the same. I’m reconsidering my next stay now, unfortunately probably won’t be here anymore. I.T manager needs to have his job reviewed as he isn’t doing it very well. And I’m sure he knows this. Jack and his team on the concierge are fantastic. Lovely helpful people.

The hotel is in a nice building on Sukhumvit soi 31. This makes it a moderate walk to one of the BTS stations. A day or two before my arrival I received an e-mail announcing I was upgraded to a suite; however, at check-in the staff placed me in the normal room I had originally reserved. I had to show them the e-mail I received before the upgrade was granted. The suite was huge and clean, with a comfortable bed. But the layout was awkward, and the lighting was insufficient. And the wi-fi wasn't working. Took a technician 20-25 minutes to sort things out. And the room had no hot water kettle for tea or coffee. Only some fancy café latte machine, but there was only one coffee capsule provided (with a fee!). Overall, the experience was underwhelming.
