I have confess I was forced to give 5 stars because I had no other option. This B&B deserves more than 5 stars!!! By far the best I’ve ever stayed. Fantastic room, above par service, amazing breakfast, extremely reasonable. Friendliest staff. Definitely will return.

Excellent Service & Nice Place
As with the other reviewers, I received great service. The laundry and tuktuk services were unexpected perks that made the stay quite relaxing. Cute place, nice breakfast, friendly people.

A Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed this Thai hotel. It is a bit out of the way, so is relatively quite. It is very clean and the breakfast was delicious and the service great. The manager at the hotel is the best. He is there to help you with anything you need. Truly a great experience. It is easy to get a tuk tuk or other transportation when you need it.

This is truly a magical place. The property is pristine and the manager and all of the staff are exceptionally kind and helpful! Not to mention the breakfast is so delicious every morning. They truly go above and beyond and I would recommend this place to anyone!

Very nice stay
Nice and clean small hotel, with very helpful staff. From arranging transportation, to laundry, to other useful information and tips, they were always available to immediately help. Reception closes at 7pm, but they stay next door, so it's easy to reach them later in the evening as well. The Thai breakfast offered was delicious and different each of the four days I stayed. Not sure about the other (Western) breakfast, as I was interested in the Thai one while in Thailand.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as part of a two week holiday in Thailand , the staff were very friendly and helpful with where too go and what to see ,our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good with a choice of thai food or eggs of your choice with sausages both very good, although this B&B is not right in the centre it is close to the sky train and ferry terminal on the river , and they have a complementary tuk tuk service to take you to both, we took hop on hop off ferry and all well known sites were easy to get to

This was my favorite place to stay during my three weeks in Thailand. It's location was perfect, only 1.5 km from the BTS and a few km from the river transportation. There was coffee shops, bars, malls and local food stalls and stores all within a few kilometers walk. We never had to pay for a taxi, we took the BTS, MTR and river boats the whole time all over the city. This was the only place that provided a local map which was so helpful. It was in the middle of a residential area so there no tourists which was what my husband and I were looking for. The staff were so very helpful and accommodating. The room was very clean and the ac was such a nice break from the heat. Although you were smack in the middle of the city the beautiful natural materials and designs of the building and the garden area made for a relaxing environment. They were only place we stayed at the offered a thai breakfast option, which we took appreciatively so enhance our experience of the culture. They were also accommodating for my vegetarian diet (thank you!). We will definitely be staying here again when we come back.

Focal Local is an extremely pleasant and low key place to stay. The staff is amazing! So sweet and helpful. I highly reccomend this place. There is street noise but the rooms are so quaint and quiet. Just a wonderful place overall.

My hubby and I were really thankful to all staffs. They made us this hotel was our home. Very comfortable and cozy all the time. Location is little far from central city but close sightseeings.

Focal Local is a lovely small hotel. Staff very helpful and attentive without been overbearing. Very nice breakfast and very clean comfortable room. They arrange a free tuk tuk to BTS or Pier and nothing too much trouble. Great place to stay with lots of local foods in the area.

The perfect luxurious gem in REAL Bangkok!
Just have to add to all the other glowing reviews: Focal Local is the epitome of "hidden gem!" This is the REAL Bangkok and it was exactly what we wanted to experience. It is tucked away in a local residential neighborhood across the river, but has easy access to the BTS train & the river boat pier, as well as tons of tasty food options up and down the main street. They have custom brochures outlining all of the wonderful local night/morning markets and food stalls you should visit, which was great since that is the kind of thing you really can't know as a tourist. They truly want to introduce you to the neighborhood! The staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and happy to help us with any needs. We throughly enjoyed our delicious homemade Thai breakfast each morning in the beautiful open air, teak wood dinning room. I had a migraine one morning and they brought breakfast to the room for me. So kind! We also were able to get laundry done and it was quick (sent it out in the afternoon and it was back early the next morning). Everything came back perfect. Wifi worked well. We stayed in the Siamese room and it was beautiful: well appointed, simple & chic, with all the comforts including a wardrobe. The bathroom and shower were luxurious and extremely spacious. The bed was beyond comfortable, with multiple soft pillows and sheets. We knew other guests were there, but everything was quiet. We got take out one night and ate on the wrap around porch by candle light. Heavenly!

Bed and breakfast worth 5 stars
Our first trip to Asia, and this was our first place to sleep. The breakfast was superb! Eat the thai breakfast, not the western. It tastes so good. We were welcomed by the friendliest staff. They took great care of us. It felt like we were on a 5 star hotel. Never been to one, but we loved it. It was outside the main things in Bangkok, but it is just a little tuk tuk ride away. And then we got the pleasure to eat very good food for a very good price, and everyone is nice and welcoming in the area. We will come back next time we are in Bangkok!

We were comfortable here. You can choose between Thai and American style breakfast. They were very attentive to our clothes washing and room cleaning service. There is also a shuttle service to the nearest train station, which is extremely helpful. Most importantly, the staff was warm and involved. The male staff members were always smiling and involved. We loved him. We were comfortable and happy. Thank you very much！

Spotless and awesome staff
I would highly recommend Focal Local to anyone who is looking for a real Thai experience. This is a family run business and they make sure to please and support you in every possible way. Breakfast is awesome, the rooms are very big, comfortable and spotless. They even offer a free tuk tuk to take us to the pier or to the skytrain station. I stayed with them twice and will definitely stay there again when in Bkk again!
