"Although short (3 days 4 nights) we had a very nice experience at the Sandman Signature Downtown Hotel in Calgary. It was very clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. The check in and check out process was quick as well. There’s an onsite bar and restaurant (Moxy’s). The atmosphere was quite relaxing and the food was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re ever staying in Calgary."

"Unfortunately this stay was very disappointing, especially for the price we paid during graduation weekend. The area did not feel safe, and the overall atmosphere around the hotel made us uncomfortable. There appeared to be long-term or low-income housing units in the building, with a lot of people and dogs coming and going, unusual smells throughout, and very limited amenities. Although the parking lot was close to the hotel, there were vehicles that appeared to be occupied overnight, which made us uneasy about leaving our truck there. We ended up leaving early the next morning after being awakened by police and ambulance activity when a truck crashed into the Burger King across the street. Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations, especially considering the high cost of the room."
