Could have maintained the toilet taps well. Appreciate thorough check before letting the guest in, as could not close the toilet door and instead of spoiled tab, we had to use the main valve. Breakfast qualify defenitely need improvement. Suit was spacious and bedroom was very tidy and well maintained.

Good for short getaway. Room is spacious and the bed is comfy. Best thing about this hotel that all rooms have both sea and pool view. Swimming pool is big enough. Breakfast should be improved as it have same menu two days in a row during my stay and my last visit last year.

Location of property is good, but overall no value for Money, hotel looks very old and not kept well. No facilities for kids like playground, water sprts etc. No good restaurant at this property, breakfast was not worth at all. Overall I do not see value for Money staying here.

Value for money. Room looks like it has been recently renovated. Cleanliness can be improved in the toilet and balcony area. On the whole, it was a comfortable stay. Breakfast was good enough. Beach was clean. Will be back to stay again!

The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. We booked 2 family rooms and 1 twin room and 1 of the family room is connected to the twin room which is great. For the price paid, it is value for money. One area that can be improved on is the breakfast which some food items are placed outdoors which tend to attract flies. Will suggest to include milo as a breakfast hot drink option noting that the resort has many families with kids.

The kopitiam restaurant was replaced with a western/burger restaurant. Prefer the Kopitiam restaurant because the menu have more variety compare to just western food. That is the only disappointment.

The room is big as we got the suite. There are 2 king size bed with 2 bathroom. They keep it clean but furniture has cracks which we are fine but there are many dead bees. At balcony and corridor. Hotel staff try to sweep of every morning but there are still..alot. quite scary.

Tunamaya doesn’t fall in the high end group of resorts but it sufficed. We were mostly outside doing activities like fruit farms, firefly sightseeing and ATV rides. The view and proximity to the beach is wonderful and convenient. The food at the cafe and Nelayan restaurant was first-rate. Proximity to Wood-fire restaurant is definitely a plus when my kids crave for fast-food. The front office staff were friendly and nice. Areas to improve in: 1. Was made to wait till 3 pm before we can check-in, we came in the early morning ferry (only one ferry timing in a day). But they let us check in our bags. Next time, will drop the bags and start heading out. 2. Buffet was first-come, first-serve. Limited space in the dining area. We had no choice but to sit outside at the non-air-con area. Fans were too few and the sun shone in, it got unbearably hot. 3. Would be great if they could arrange for car rentals. We took grab/taxi everywhere we went. Overall, desaru offered a good getaway destination if you want to miss the queues at the causeway. Apart from the minor inconveniences, I enjoyed my family time at TunaMaya.
