"Photos of property were misleading property was much older than photos showed. Expect charges for almost every amenity. For instance water to make your coffee is an additional charge.Low quality bedding linens and towels. Items left in the room from previous customers or guests for example balloons and rose petals. When we told the front desk that the jets in our tub were not working they politely said yes you are correct. When we asked if we could get them looked at they said no, they are just broken. When my wife and I come back we will be looking for an alternative hotel."

"From check in to room cleaning to breakfast, this has been the worst Novotel experience I’ve ever had. I am an All member and this Novotel Gonzaga was far from being a Novotel standards. Lazy service. I had to ask to do additional towels several times. Check in took 30 minutes. I took 1 hour from SP to Santos, and took 30 minutes for a lousy check in. "

"Hotel Canto do Atlântico is listed as a three-star hotel; however, it does not meet even the minimum standards of hospitality. In its current condition, it should not be operating, as it resembles an abandoned property. Misleading information on Orbitz: Swimming pool: The pool is abandoned, with dark green water and a strong unpleasant odor. Therefore, there is effectively no usable pool. Food & Beverage: There is no bar, beach bar, lounge bar, or restaurant operating at the hotel. Transport/Shuttle: No shuttle service is provided to the airport or to the beach. Outdoors: The hotel does not have direct beach access; it is located approximately five blocks from the beach. There is no picnic area or terrace. There is no banquet hall. There is no direct beach access. Serious problems observed at the hotel: Water quality: The water from both the tap and the shower is yellow and smells like rust. It is not suitable for bathing or brushing teeth. Swimming pool: The water is dark green and foul-smelling, making it unsafe for use. All bed linens, sheets, towels, and curtains are stained and torn. Electrical outlets are loose and coming out of the wall. The hotel sign is falling apart. Light switches, door handles, walls, and common areas are extremely dirty. Breakfast: Cockroaches were found on the plates and on the floor. Conclusion: I do NOT recommend this hotel. I would rate it zero stars if possible. This property should not be open to the public. "
