The staff were nice enough. The room wasn't anything to right about. Extractor in the bathroom was noisy and there were signs of mould. The TV was way too small the size of the room. The air conditioning didn't work. And it was hot. There was a fan in the wardrobe though. Parking is plentiful though

Very good. I would like to stay more often but the price keeps going up from £40 to over £60 which i cannot afford.

I felt very vulnerable, anyone could walk into the hotel and corridors of rooms. There was no security system to lock the corridors eg you need to use your room card to access them.

Convenient location, friendly staff & clean room & facilities, generally good value for the price However room for improvements. The one thing I found odd & bit annoying is the hand basin being seperate from the toilet and is not enclosed. So if sharing a room with a partner or friend, you're guaranteed to be woken up if they get up in night to use toilet. Also the mattress in my room wasn't in the best of condition, I kept feeling like was going to roll out of bed where it has lost its support along sides of the mattress.

My wife apparently set off the fire alarm from taking a shower… yes really Steam set it off The person on duty had the audacity to ask if we were vaping in the room The bathroom is for a retirement community with a disabled “bath” and toilet We had twin rooms and our daughters room smelled bad and their curtains were falling down The hotel and rooms are beyond basic There is a wall heater that works at times and zero heat in the bathroom so using the loo and taking a shower and getting out is really cold in December and the shower soaks the floor Service was ok They don’t know what a flannel or washcloth is - literally as I had to describe it when we asked ” We will not stay here again as we don’t have what I consider big demands and zero “snobbery “ as we’ve stayed in basic Holiday Inns and so on while in the UK and US and they were like the Ritz In comparison The petrol station and services are right next door so getting coffee and a basic meal - McDonald’s, chain fish n chips, KFC and the like is easy and convenient and the A1 is right there and Baldock for Tesco, pizza and Indian food (Chilli Lounge” are five minutes away Overall it was ok at best staying there as long as you don’t expect much

I have stayed here numerous times and although the prices have crept up over the last couple of years it still is good value. Cosy comfortable rooms are clean and warm. Excellent for commuters.

Average hotel nothing fancy
The hotel is not so new, it is quite old and would need some sort of refurbishment. It lacks an on-site restaurant or even conference facilities. The heating in my room was not working, I complained twice to reception and was ignored. She asked me to leave the heating on and eventually it will start working. I stayed in the room for 72 hours and there was no heating. Day reception would need some training, she asked for me to control my kids because there were making noise at night. She told me and I said I would have try to get them to keep down. She blurted in my face “don’t try just do it”. I felt very uncomfortable and said very few words to her after that incident. It is fair to say, I will not be going back ever again.

Room was stinky
The room was stinking Carpets were so dusty ,my daughter couldn’t sleep well because her hay fever was triggered by the condition of the room.we stayed for two nights ,no room service ,I had to ask for clean towels from the reception .I wouldn’t recommend anyone travelling with young kids .the only good thing was the bed

Basic fail
The room was all I expected from a one night budget hotel, apart from the toilet, which hadn't been cleaned under the rim for a long time. It was horrid. I don't routinely check, but once you see something you really can't get the sight out of your mind. Does the cleaning service have a supervisor? Such a simple and basic requirement. Unhygienic in the extreme. Must remember to pack some rubber gloves next time....

Disappointed with Room Standard.
Didn't get there till early evening. Reception was unmanned but came within 5 minutes. Was allocated a room. Entered and it hadn't been cleaned. Dirty Cups, Used Towels in a Pile. Bed unmade. Was allocated another room. Hadn't been Hovered properly and only one set of Towels. Had to get extra. Didn't bother moving again. Room was suffering from wear and tear. Broken Tile in Bathroom. Bodged repairs around the Room. Towel Rail switch was there on wall but cable had been chopped off. Slept ok. Shower was ok.

The hotel was in pretty poor condition. The mobile phone charger got very hot in the socket and doesnt at home. The tv didnt work because the airial was broken. There was something splashed all up the wall in the waredrobe and mould above the shower door. The way breakfast was advertised, it suggested there was a cooked breakfast but it was a small bag of cornflakes and lots of sugary items. If i had known this there is no way i would have booked it. The reception manager did offer me a voucher for starbucks next door and that was welcome as it had a decent coffee but im on a special diet so could eat the roll only the fruit pot. We wont be book days inn again even though the guy on the desk was trying his best and was friendly.
