If you need wifi double check !

"The room was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The shower temperature was variable depending on time of day but generally ok. There was no wifi available even though it stated wifi was provided. Initially this was not a real issue as we had mobile data, but when trying to check in for our return flights would have been useful as mobile kept dropping. Breakfast was basic (choice of hot dog, longanisa, beef tapa or tocino served with garlic rice and fried egg) with a sachet of coffee, served in another building around the corner."

No wifi

"Nice place, nice area. Was quiet at night, some reviews say it is too noisy. The only glaring fault is lack of wifi. There are 4 possible connections on two pieces of paper, which is purely theoretical. None of them work. Not life and death, but fairly important when travelling and researching the next destination."

"A great hotel away from the night life of the beach. Friendly staff but not the best hotel. Cleanliness definitely isn’t a top priority here. I stayed for 3 nights and had the same sheets and 1 small blanket for two people. The water would not work half the time, thankfully they did provide a bucket and ladle. You’re required to give the receptionist the key, which I thought would be for cleaning purposes, thus after the first 2 nights my guest and I learned there would be no cleaning at all. Though I have no plans to revisit Puerto Galera, I do hope the hotel learns to clean the hotel frequently."
