"No A/C even though explicitly stated. And then because of the no A/C, was required to leave the windows open so was frequently woken up by tourists on the streets, loud cars/motorcycles and the church bells at 7:30am. "

"It was very close to the City Center and also to a bus stop. We had no car so this came in handy. They were awesome about calling us taxi’s and giving directions and recommendations for places to eat and recommending a cooking class. Breakfast was nice. The only thing they did not have were wash cloths. We use them in the States. I didn’t ask nor did I see any in a cart so I thought possibly just the culture in Italy. We did have them at our hotel in Rome. I should have ask so that is on me! The staff was incredible! If I were to travel to Siena again, I would definitely book this hotel."

"This was one of the most beautiful properties we have ever stayed! The staff was very informative and inviting. The room was extremely clean. Breakfast was much better than advertised with one of the most beautiful views we had while in Italy. Can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend"

"Beautiful villa, relaxing with fantastic breakfast and dinner options. The staff were very accommodating. While children are allowed at the hotel, it’s really for adults only. If you want to leave the villa the staff will order a taxi for you. Round trip was 90 euros. Do bring a swim suit as the outdoor pool is heated. We had a private wine tasting one evening, in their 800 year old wine cellar. Dinner was one of the best meals we have had while traveling in Italy."

"You are paying for the view!!!! This hotel was not worth the money spent in my opinion. The hotel staff was not very accommodating, though the restaurant staff was lovely. We had to bring our luggage up to our room and back down during check in and check out — no one even offered and trust me it was a hike to get it up there. Also they overcharged us at every turn. At their overpriced wine testing (which they were unprepared for our reservation, not set up and didn’t remember what we booked) they said a bottle was $40, then at dinner said the same bottle was now $65! Every glass of wine was steeply priced and the wine tasting was boring and uninformative. We preferred our wine tasting elsewhere (save your money!). The bed was extremely uncomfortable, worst one we slept on the whole trip. While the chef at their restaurant is incredible, we enjoyed our first dinner there and felt like it was worth the money. The food for the olive grove dinner was not as good and we didn’t even get to sit in the grove for most of the night due to the cold temps (the highlight was the incredible live band they had which saved the dinner for us). Overall we spent almost no time at the hotel and were very disappointed in the overall experience — not a luxury experience at all. Save your money, go elsewhere or be prepared to pay solely for the view. "
