The unit is very nice and spacious. I enjoyed having a kitchen and full sized fridge during my stay. I did not like that the pool was closed and filthy. We were looking forward to enjoying the pool and amenities but that was a huge disappointment. It would also be nice to have more than 2 bath towels and 2 bathing rags during a 3-4 day booking. One roll of toilet paper really doesn’t help either. Instructions for trash pick ups would’ve been helpful. We were just really on our own to be honest. Overall the suite is nice and I would book again ONLY if the pool is clean and open for guests.

0 stars is more accurate. The property is at Trace Midtown however, “Global Luxury Suites” advertising on Expedia rents out several units from Trace. They say there is a 24 hr concierge available for your needs. However, the concierge works for Trace and will tell you that you need to contact Global luxury and they can’t help you. If you call GLS no one answers. Checking in took 3 hours and no one knew how to do anything since they don’t work for GLS. When we got to our unit it was not even cleaned. The walls are damaged, paint missing, holes in doors, ceiling and sink leak water. It is far from “luxury”. Nothing had been dusted, the floors were gross snd sticky. There was hair, lashes and nails everywhere. There are no dishes, the light switches don’t work and the sheets are gross, stained and look and feel old. We had the cleaning lady walk in our unit at 11pm asking what we were doing there. She said we needed to leave, that GLS didn’t want our money and if we didn’t she was calling cops. Come to find out she is a felon who is staying in the units and will do everything in her power to get you to leave so she can stay in the unit free.Two nights later we had another couple try walking in to our unit and had a key to get in. This place is a complete nightmare! take a minute to read some of the bad reviews. This has happened time and time again. We unfortunately did not read the reviews before booking. If you come to this place just know it’s going to be a nightmare.

They checked me into the wrong room and gave me the key to somebody elses unit. I walked into somebody’s home! Not only unsafe for me, unsafe for the person who was residing there. The microwave did not work, the lock on the sliding glass door did not work, and the oven was filled with smoke and burned with an unknown substance even upon preheating it (empty!)

We have stayed at Trace with Global Luxury Suites thru Hotels.com before. We knew it was a normal for rent apartment building with these units being available for short term rental. So we knew it was a bit non-traditional. However, the check in this time was a confusing event - the concierge did not seem to understand the above, and he wanted to keep my license in exchange for the keys to the apartment (non-starter; I was driving this weekend). We eventually got to the right answer. Parking was easy. The apartment itself was clean (although we found a piece of used hard candy on the coffee table shelf underneath - kind of hidden). The problems were the missing items from a normal short term rental - no soap/shampoo, no hand soap, only one bath towel, no kitchen towels). I emailed the “host” and they offered to bring some over - but wanted access to the space if we were not there. We could make do with what we brought and what our daughter could supply (who we were visiting). Building is nice - we didn’t use the pool, but we did get coffee from the provided machine on the 5th floor. The coffee in the room (a 5 cup drip maker) was a typical hotel package sleeve that looked like someone had crumbled it up and stepped on it repeatedly (although still sealed). There was no mattress pad on bed and the sheets were low quality. Like I said, we made do - it is a convenient location for our purpose, but if not for that we would maybe choose elsewhere next time.

The property was unacceptable, I left early 1/2 w, they did not return my calls, texts, or emails or Expedia's calls. They will write a lip service reply, "we sincerely apologize for the experience you had" which is BS given the other negative reviews. I have asked for a full refund given the horrific conditions and went instead to a lovely fancy hotel for less. The bed was unacceptable and filthy. The sheets were unacceptable. There were not enough towels, and no laundry detergent to wash the filthy sheets. There was a dead fly in the fridge. There was a opened yogurt container in the fridge that I threw away. The sponges were used. There was filth under the bed. The mattress was horrific. The carpet is threadbare I stepped on the nail walking barefoot. The curtains didn't block out light. When I went into the parking lot the gate arm closed on my car, hitting me hard through my open window in the face and I got a huge gash on my face. On Friday, I called 3 times to get service at the apartment due to the filthy sheets. I made a call at around 12:30 PM 6:30 PM and then 11 PM. Nobody came to rectify the problem. However, Saturday morning, there was a big bag full of crap left at our front door with towels that have been thrown in there and the same horrific sheets that are pilling and threadbare. I spoke with Expedia and called and spoke with one of your after hours people. Nobody from customer service has returned my call. Global Luxury did not return Expedia's calls.

Great location but left a bit underwhelmed

The stay was satisfactory. The location is great! Check-in was a little delayed because the front desk attendant was not familiar with where the keys to the unit (via Global Luxury Suites Midtown Atlanta) are kept. After a few calls to management, the attendant reached out to another associate who know where the keys are kept. Only one key fob was given, which made it challenging since there were two adults who would not always be together during the trip. But we adjusted and made it work. Once in the unit, the room was nicely decorated and welcoming. The unit was well maintained but showed a few signs of normal wear & tear (i.e. chipped paint on doors/walls. However, we discovered certain amenities/creature comforts were missing. There was no coffee maker. There was only one set of bath towels for use (for two people). There were no extra garbage bags, no dishwashing liquid, no paper towels (the existing roll only had three sheets left). The bed, while comfortable, only had the comforter and the fitted sheet, no flat sheet. I made a call to customer service, and the associate took a list of the missing items and said housekeeping would deliver them the next morning, stating they would knock first but if not there, they'd let themselves in to leave the items. None of the items were ever delivered. Overall, the stay was satisfactory, as we did not spend much time in the room. Would we stay again? Yes, but hope the experience will be better/different than this time.

Quiet and convenient

This place checks all the boxes for a quiet and convenient stay. My only complaint (with 3rd party Global Luxury Suites) is that my door fob didn’t not work therefore I couldn’t leave my apartment because I couldn’t lock it. Thankfully I had my daughter with me whom stayed inside everyday to lock the door behind me. I wasn’t provided a new fob until friday(5 days later). Other than that my stay has been great.

The lack of preparation from the concierge and management caused me be relocated to an entire different apartment complex 20 mins away from the location I booked due to the mishandling of keys. My reservations keys “were not left with the concierge” which resulted in 5 different phone calls with different people to sort it out. All the while the concierge of Trace Midtown acting clueless. Very sketchy and possibly “scammy” since my flight got delayed and I wasn’t able to make it to check in until around 9pm. Never offered a discounted price or proper accommodation and definitely didn’t feel like the concierge at the front desk was any help.

Terrible. Never again.

Property under construction in lobby. No first floor elevator. Concierge did not provide any instructions on how to access unit. Check-in and accessing unit took over half an hour. Construction woke me up with jack hammering. Impossible to navigate with elevators not available. Random stairway doors lock. Found myself trying to access 6ths floor, ended up having to walk all the way down to first floor. Instructions to checkout are to leave keys in apartment. Keys are used to lock doors and access elevators. Just an all around AWFUL experience.

Nicely decorated 1-bedroom apartment in midtown Atlanta high rise. The building’s lobby was closed and under construction. This made access to the building more difficult. Better communication about the situation would’ve been helpful. Also the property did not provide adequate towels or cleaning products. There was one washcloth, two bath towels, and one mat. Only one sample pack of dishwasher detergent was provided. The location was nice and walkable. Would recommend, but encourage future guests to make sure to check that the unit is better stocked or bring their own towels.

Worst hotel.com experience for ever!!

I had the worst experience with Hotels.com, which recommended this global luxury suites property that turned out to be a complete scam. They completely ignored the booking conditions I agreed to with Hotels.com and instead enforced their own rules, which were vastly different. For instance, Hotels.com gave me the option to pay either now or at check-in, and I selected the latter. However, the property demanded my credit card number to charge me 7 days before check-in. After some negotiation, they finally charged my card in full 3 days before check-in and then requested a copy of my credit card, which should have been handled by Hotels.com. When we arrived on the day of check-in, the property claimed there was no room available despite having already charged me. They also insisted that Hotels.com wouldn’t assist us and advised me to dispute the refund directly with the property. This entire experience is completely unacceptable! I strongly urge others to avoid this property and to carefully verify the conditions with Hotels.com before booking.

The actual property and apartment were fine. However, dealing with Global Luxury Sweets was an absolute nightmare.
