"The staff was very welcoming and friendly, had lots of information to give us. As a group of 3 passing through, it was nice to run into a good friendly staff. The hotel itself had a decent breakfast and the beverage selection was nice. We never got in the pool or hot tub but it was being drained and cleaned at check out so that was a plus! The room was a tad outdated and a little bit questionable in the beginning but i will admit the best sleep of my entire trip!! "

"This property sits right on the Columbia river and overlooks the pier and ships docked in the river. It was a very nice view from our 3rd floor room. My son hung out on the balcony for hours. The rooms were very spacious and the bathroom was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast was very good as complimentary breakfasts go, and there was steady supply of very good coffee available at all times. The pool was nice as well."

"Despite some reviews complaining of noise, we had no problems and didn't even use the provided earlier plugs. The room was bigger than we expected, bed was comfy and we appreciated having a refrigerator and microwave oven."

"Staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in was great, but when we got to the room it wasn’t the one I’d booked. However, the front desk staff resolved the issue quickly and we were moved to the correct room. We had a nice view of the water outside the room. Property is a little dated but everything was clean and comfortable. They had salmon chowder at 5:00 in the lobby, and the breakfast was good. "I was running from trauma when I landed in Astoria and the staff was extremely kind and supporting. They helped me print the paperwork I needed and gave me a quiet comfortable room where I slept like a baby next to the sea."

"We recently stayed here for a few nights with our grandchildren. We stayed in Cottage 11. We loved having access to the garage full of beach toys, chairs, BBQ, picnic tables and fire pits for s’mores! We enjoyed a delicious welcome cocktail after arrival. So thoughtful. What put this place over the top for us was the beautiful breakfast basket delivered to our door every morning. This will definitely be our forever stay when in Gearhart. Thank you! "
