"This hotel had so many nice touches for guests. Real glass coffee cups other than paper ones. Same for the water glasses. A black hand towel for makeup removal. Comfy Terry robes in the bathroom. A variety of coffee for the Keurig in your room. Another nice touch is warm clam chowder available in the afternoon followed by a freshly baked cookie. The staff was wonderful!"

"This motel is on the edge of town as you arrive from the east, so every meal or outing requires a bit of a drive, but nothing is all that far away. The room was very comfortable (the heat works well, but I can't speak to how it would be in the summer) and the bed is too, though maybe a bit too soft. The bedding was fresh and clean, and we were provided with a nice, new extra blanket on request. The view is incomparable, and it was lovely to sit in the lobby (thank you for the 24-hour hot water for tea!) or in our room just resting in the gorgeousness of it all. It is also nice that the Astoria River Trail is a slightly strenuous walk away so even being outside of town we could get a good walk in. Check-in was very easy and the staff were friendly. The continental breakfast was about average for a motel in this range, with a waffle maker, refrigerated yogurt and hard-boiled eggs, fruit, and a toaster for bagels or good multigrain bread (thanks for that, too!) Fancier breakfast options are just a short drive away. Our upstairs room was very quiet, probably due to us being there early in the season. People enjoyed the outdoor hot tub but with a 10:00 pm curfew their enjoyment didn't keep us awake. The addition of an EV charging station would be a nice perk, one I would pay a few more dollars for, but there are a couple of good ones in town."

"We had an amazing time! The staff here are definitely 10/10, they’re so kind & helpful! New owners, so they’re slowly fixing the place up! Keep that in mind when you book, so you don’t expect something over the top fancy. I enjoyed my stay & understood the fact that they’re renovating so everything isn’t as perfect right now. We still had an amazing trip! Will definitely stay here again! "

"This was above my expectations. I usually enjoy older hotels for the architecture but this included amenities and service. I'll be back again at high season no matter the cost. Really enjoyed the one night. "
