Room key never worked. No microwave. Bathroom dirty.
I had no idea it would be as bad as it was. It was really in bad condition and had stacks of mattresses and old used furniture in front of several of the units. It is hard to explain as everything was quite old and there was damage in a number of places in the room. One towel was just thrown up on the rack as if it had been used. I would have gone to another hotel, but it was 12:30 am and I was exhausted.

Maybe good, maybe bad for you.
If you are picky person, this motel is not for you. If you need cheap, place to sleep or crash, then this place is for you. Just bring a can of perfume because the non-smoking rooms have a slight cigarette smell. Captain D's is right across the street.

One Night Motel
The motel is located in a fairly good location, right downtown, has several convenient restaurants nearby. I chose this motel because it's within a mile of the Amtrak/Greyhound Transportation Center. I would recommend this motel only for an over night stay. It's affordable, everything worked in room, however the motel room was pretty runned down, saw a bug or two.
nothing at all..After arriving from booking the room online i learned that the hotel was full and that i had no room and they wouldn't honor my room from Expedia...Very very terrible..
not good, falling apart, ceiling in bathroom leaked from previous crappy tape job and live i n people there ,less than desirable , chicks cussing on phone walking around swinging baseball bat, all i n all very run down and dirty,my room probably hadnt been cleaned properly in years, hire new staff for house keeping, or turn n 2 apartments for long stayers

It was a nice hotel. Room was right on parking lot and some cars came in late, where the lights were bothersome.
The biggest problem is that the floor was in such bad shape it hurt me. The transition from the carpet of the main room to the tile of the bathroom was unfinished and I was hurt by a carpet staple. Another section of it was missing and had broken glass sticking up. The shower handle was broken. The curtains wouldn't close all the way. It felt less like a hotel and more like a recently converted meth house.
The front desk guy was nice, though.
Super sketchy. Don't do it. We had dead bugs on the floor it stunk soo bad. Everything was dirty. I couldn't even stay. Had to get my money back and leave.... The man at the desk look like he knew before I even opened my mouth when I returned to the front desk. You get what u pay for, and this is HORRIBLE.
I got a smoking room and when I went to the room, there was no toilet paper, no trashcans, and no ashtray! The clerk told me to stay on the main street because one block over is not good.

OK if you just need a bed for the night.
Room was reasonably comfortable, fridge and microwave in good condition, comfy beds. A single cleanliness issue was reported. Mostly OK but WiFi would not work in room. Boost tried but not successful. Worked outside but limited.
The bathroom door jam had been kicked in so it not only didnt lock, it didnt even latch. Broken faucet, shower rod falling off. I prefer a room I can smoke in but the cigarette burns on the sheets, mattress, and comforter were a bit much. No wonder I guess, considering there was no ashtray. Loud weekly/ monthly renters were up all night in the parking lot. I found some comfort in my stay at Ashland Inn at least.. I was armed. I'd recommend save your $55 and buy a tent first.

Very good for budget travel.
I was looking for a place to stay because I was visiting someone in town. Low budget, and you get what you pay for. The room did have a new Air conditioner/heater in it, and the room was clean. I am happy because it accomplished what I needed. 1. Somewhere cheap. 2. Somewhere decent. I would stay again.
I've stayed in some pretty bad motels, but this one was the worst. First, I booked a non-smoking room, but I was placed in a smoking room, because that's all they had left. My toilet didnt work properly, the towels were horribly stained, half of the light bulbs were missing or broken, there were hundreds of holes in the disgustingly worn-out comforters, I cut my leg on a sharp piece of metal sticking out of one of the beds, and the water in the shower never got hot. I woke up with conjunctivitis after the first night. I went to work and my eye started looking and feeling better, but when i returned to the hotel on my break, I was in the room for 15 minutes and my eye was all bloodshot and irritated again. I left to finish work and like before, it got a little better, but as soon as I returned for the second night, my eye got worse again. I asked to switch rooms because there was obviously something making the infection worse. The man at the desk didn't have a problem with me changing rooms, but he adamantly denied that there was anything in the room affecting my eye. The next room i was given was non-smoking, but it was in terrible condition-looked like it was in need of repair for a decade and had been neglected. My eye was just as irritated in that room. They have a no-refunds policy, or I would have left after the first night. To top it all off, housekeeping never came by to make the bed or take out the trash, etc. and all of my clothes had a strong musty odor.
It was not a clean room cobwebs everywhere stained carpet. Commode was unlevel. Our room was not cleaned at all the towels and wash cloths were not picked up. No fresh ones I had to call the desk to get them when they brought them they were all stained and looked half dirty. It was an awful experience I will never stay there again that is for sure!!!

IT WAS SHELTER
Not a very good area of Ashland if there is one!!!!But it was shelter and a bed for the price at last minute couldnt go wrong!
The room I booked wasn't available. Tried to put me is a stinky smoking room with dirty bed. Place seemed to house people living there, some rooms didn't even seemed used. trash everywhere. Lots of people coming and going, gave me the impression of druggies and alcoholics. While they had coffee in the morning, it tasted like yesterday's grinds. Would never stay again.
It was terrible. My reserved room was given away.it took 20 min for the front desk to find me a room. I got put in a room that had fleas and bed bugs. There were 12 fleas on my leg after only being in the room under 5 mins. The next room they tried to give me to compensate was the same plus a urine smell. When the hotel "manager" was informed he placed all the blame on the guy that checked me in. Never assuming any fault of his own. That is not a show of any type of leadership in a customer service industry. Please take this place off of hotels.com so no one else has the thought to go here. I ended up driving home bc my famy and I didn't sleep there that night and it ruined the rest of our weekend we drove 3 hrs for a festival that we only got to spend one day at. My 7 year old son was upset he didnt get to return to the festival and meet the ghost busters like he was promised. Luckily he only got a few bites while in the room for only 15 min. Bedbugs will travel home with you. I'm glad we got out of there when we did. Because I don't want to pay $67 to bring home an infestation. I will be contacting the health department. This place needs an exterminator and new management. They claimed the owner was out of the country. He seriously needs to return an get his hotel up to code before it's condemned.
The area is a very bad area. Drugs obviously all over the place, and people who lived in the hotel where of the "Working" variety. I could tell because they where on the corner at night all dressed to impress. The room was DIRTY!! I was afraid to drink the water, shower or walk around barefoot. The beds where hard, and made me itchy and people living there where loud. I asked if I could just be charged for one night, of my two night stay, and get my money back to go some where else. The owner told me he has already charged my credit card for two nights and he does not offer refunds. I was in the Army for years, and my stay here made me miss living in the field. I think I would of had a better experience in a tent.
Motel was far away from the interstate, very small, and very old looking. Furniture old and in poor condition. Remote to television didn't work. Difficult to figure out how to use shower, and then, water wasn't really hot. I've had better for 2.5 stars.
