"My wife and I had a very pleasant two-night stay at Hotel Tateyama. We stayed one night before our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route trip and another night after returning, and both stays were excellent. "Okay,The guest room has a retro atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era, featuring a large communal bath. While the amenities may not be luxurious, the cost performance is outstanding. The dinner and breakfast offer a delightful kaiseki meal with ingredients from the sea and mountains, along with a buffet style that includes both Western and Japanese dishes, ensuring high satisfaction. There’s also a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the nearest station. I highly 100% recommend it!"

"The spa is great, transfer service was. I’ve, staff very cordial and huge breakfast. Room was very clean and spacious and traditional. Very relaxing stay. Unazukionsen is a very nice place to visit and the Kurobe Gorge is stunning. Easy to access. Would stay again. "

"perfect for a couple nights while snowboarding at the ski hills nearby! the lovely lady, who i’m assuming is the owner, was just the sweetest lady. she was more than happy to help us sort out transportation around town and to the ski hill, make dinner reservations for us, and drive us to the shipping outlet to ship our bags to the airport. i would absolutely recommend, and i will definitely be back! "
