Old and kind of run down, not the worst, but probably should have spent the extra few dollars to go to a better hotel. Website mislead - we were trying to book in Carlsbad and this hotel came up as being there, but is actually 30 miles north so had to backtrack the next day. That was the worst part of this hotel experience since we're on a time schedule!

This place had a weird vibe with many long-term guests. The door lock had no bolt or chain, only the electronic type. I was unsettled at times.

Gross! The property is old and dirty. There was something splattered on the walls, dog hair on the carpet, the carpet was dirty especially in the corners and under the furniture, where they didn’t bother to try to vacuum. The windows and window sills were filthy. The room smelled like cheap cleaning products to try to cover the old, dirty smell. The towels and wash cloths were old, dingy, and thin. My husband felt like he was taking a shower in a phone booth. He also forgot his slippers and his feet were black with dirt after walking across the room. I’m pretty sure the “queen” bed was actually a full bed. The man at the front desk was not very nice.

When you first see the inn the outside looks a little questionable but don’t let that deter the gentlemen who checked us in was very nice and welcoming. The room itself was very clean, smelled nice, comfy and never once did we feel unsafe. I would definitely stay here again we loved it!!!
