I won't go back unless they buck there ideas up, check in was 4pm, room not ready after driving for 5 hours, no bar open and it's miles away from Inveraray, 5pm given a room key and found out it hadn't been cleaned. Bar opened 5pm my husband got me a drink and manager or owner (he turned up about 16.50 ) said by the time we had the drink our alternative room would be ready. "The room was clean. Although the outdoor temperature was not high, the room was very hot even with the window open. Thankfully, there was a quiet fan that helped. The bathroom was also extremely hot and the door closed automatically so it was not possible to open the door and get any airflow. We had a car and found lack of street parking somewhat challenging several blocks away. There was a pay lot where we were able to leave the car for the night. we found Oban very walkable."

It was a bit small but we didn’t plan to stay in it long. There were cookies and tea in the rooms Loved the nightlight in the bathroom! Very helpful. Only challenges are the parking, It’s at a premium, and all rooms are up stairs so if you have mobility challenges. This hotel is not for you"

"We had room 109 and it looked out over the water and the lively street but was very quiet. The shower was amazing as were the products. The coffee and tea and snacks were delicious. The bed was very comfy and the room was nice and dark! We didn’t get to explore the hotel at all since we were just there overnight but we would gladly stay there again if we are lucky enuf to return to Oban. What a great little town and a great hotel experience!"
