The beds aren't the comfiest, and the rooms are a bit dated, but these folks will make you feel like you're part of the family! "The Kings Arms Hotel is located in a small village called Kyleakin just over the bridge when you arrive to the Isle of Skye. We stayed here because it was significantly cheaper than staying in Portree. Travelling by car, we spent a few days hiking around the island and actually enjoyed staying a bit more remotely. "What a lovely gem to luck into : close to the isle 0f Skye ( just over the bridge ) but well placed , quiet and proudly Scots ( great tartan i go in the corridor walls ). We hopped over the bridge for a meal then relaxed in the super clean rooms . There’s a great guest sitting room with lots of squishy sofas but we were too tired to enjoy . "This place is a gem in the Highlands! David and Lynn are the nicest hosts, and everything has been wonderful, from the beautiful location to the breakfast with anything you could wish for.
