A modern bedroom with a large bed, a bedside table, a nightstand, and a potted plant.

1. Hotel am Hochrhein

Bad Saeckingen

"The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and very clean. As was the bathroom. The restaurant attached to the hotel next door was excellent too and provided lovely well cooked food both dinner and breakfast. The only downside would be the internet connection. It was not very stable in my room and would randomly and often disconnect. I did report it to reception. This did not detract from an excellent hotel though. I would stay here again."

Top Anwil Hotel Reviews

Novotel Basel City

10/10 Excellent

"Perfect place to stay in town. Close to everything."

HYPERION Hotel Basel

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at the Hyperion at short notice when our return flight from Basel to the UK was cancelled at short notice. The room was quite small but clean and well-equipped and with a good view to the east. The front desk staff were very helpful with replenishing supplies for the coffee machine in the room and dealing very quickly with a fault on the room safe. We had to leave the hotel at 4:30 am to catch the replacement flight so appreciated the 24 hour front desk service."

Hotel Spalentor

10/10 Excellent

"I lived in Basel for 17 years and regularly go back with my wife. The Hotel Spalentor is our favourite place to stay. The front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room we were given was spacious and well-equipped. The hotel is conveniently located for the number 30 bus route and is a short distance on foot from the old town and Marktplatz."

Riverside Hotel Merian - opening 2026

8/10 Good

"A good hotel in a great location. There were some issues with the elevator, which wasn't working during our stay, but it wasn't a big deal for us. The check-in process was unnecessarily convoluted; it could certainly have been much more expeditious. All in all, it was a very good stay."

Central City Hotel Rochat

10/10 Excellent

"A member of my party was under the weather by the time we reached Basel. I had contacted them asking to see if we could have an earlier check-in to rest. The staff on duty got us in earlier than scheduled and was utterly sweet. Hats off to you and your team of understanding polyglots. We had booked an upstairs/downstairs room. The novelty wore out quickly, because there was only one sink/bathroom upstairs. Not their fault. We learn. We were also fortunate that when we got in, there was a huge fair running outside the hotel. We had food and fun times without going too far!"
