"At two steps from the beach!"

"Good in many respects but our timing was bad. Apparently spring is the time when sargassum weeds move in. The beach at the property (and anywhere on the north and east side of whole island was unusable). They clean things up but it takes a few days and we never even got to walk on the beach. Housekeeping could be more prompt (they tried to make it up after I complained). Property in general was good but for the price paid I am not sure it is best value."

"The property is in a lovely location, very quiet a a peaceful - you really need a car as nowhere nearby to get supplies, it’s basic, but immaculate and with everything you need. Sharon was very helpful, but we sadly we were unable to meet Gabriela and Douglas on this occasion, we had read such glowing reviews about them. "We were a little sceptical about Galleon Beach Resort due to limited reviews but we did not regret booking. Upon arrival Talia showed us down to Sea Breeze - cottage number 10. She left a welcome sheet providing her mobile number incase we needed it, numbers of taxis etc. The cottage was beautiful with a living area with two small couches, a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, fridge water cooler and 2 plate hob. "The cottage was fabulous, the view was beautiful, my only reservation was the cottage being up a fairly steep hill (well steep for me) otherwise I couldnt nor would want to fault it. The actual Galley Bay beach has no sun beds or refreshments but that said the smaller bay has a patch of grass you can lay on, more shade and a much smaller unihabited bay. Absolutely loved it all "

The only areas for improvement were: the seasonings were a bit limited – salt and pepper were almost gone; laundry detergent needed to be brought from home; and the shower water pressure was a little low. "location was hard to find as you have to use the location given in Expedia. Place was in a nice quiet location. Areas of improvement: sink water was running very very very slowly. Need sink replaced. Toilet would run more often on the second/third day and having to manually hold the stopper down was too much. WiFi was spotty which could have been due to the location. Scenery was beautiful, management was responsive and helpful. Parking is also scarce. I would book again as a 5:6:7th option for...
