"We had a wonderful vacation overall and made some great memories, but this resort has room for improvement before it can truly be considered a 5-star experience. In all fairness, the current General Manager has only recently taken over, so I’m hopeful the property will be better managed and many of these issues will be addressed. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and the size of the resort is just right—not too large and not too small. Unfortunately, the dining experience was disappointing....

"We stayed in deluxe plung pool cottage. Very clean rooms. Property is well manicured and absolutely gorgeous with all types of tropical flowers in bloom. Variety of foods on menu and food was good. View from anywhere on property is breathtaking. Beaches are beautiful. Staff members go above and beyond anywhere I've ever stayed. They're amazing. Just go....you won't be disappointed"

"We stayed there 10 days apart, during which they changed companies. The new company makes you wear a wristband for the WHOLE stay— charging you if you take it off! There were bullet holes in the ceiling above the bed, and the ceiling tiles in the bathroom had mold. The surfaces you touch were clean and the bed was comfortable enough (not great). "We very much enjoyed our stay at Hodges Bay Resort. We stayed for 6 nights in June 2026. As this is Antigua's off season, the resort was very quiet, with very few guests. We stayed in an ocean front deluxe room. The room perfect. It was very clean and spacious. The balcony overlooking the ocean was large. We elected for daily housekeeping and our room was always refreshed and restocked when we returned to the room each day. The staff were all very friendly. Every staff member who walked by...

There was plenty of parking at the hotel and my disabled guest was accommodated well. The venue has live entertainment on Thursdays which was well attended. It would have been perfect if there was a pool. Towels could have been cleaner as they had stains on them and looked yellowed."

"The hotel seems to be stuck in the past and desperately needs an upgrade. The bathroom was rusty, old, and outdated, while the food was delicious but limited in options. The pool was clean, and the staff was fantastic. However, I had an issue with my room, and Mr. Terrence handled the situation very quickly. There was loud construction in the lobby, only 2 restaurants were open our entire stay, had to switch rooms due to pungent smell of seaweed.
