Walking distance from the crowds nice quiet place, in a busy colonial city that offers a lot of good places to have lunch, dinner or breakfast and beautiful shops with textiles, jade necklaces and other good options.

I would definitely stay here again! The apartment was perfect—close enough to the center of Antigua to be convenient, but far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet. I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Awesome hotel.

It's a wonderful hotel, the apartment has everything to make you feel at home. The unit we stayed was charming, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best accommodation I have stayed at in Antigua. I highly recommend it.

Is my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I had a great experience. Clean, safe, closed to different areas in Antigua. Check in and check out was easy, safe, the rooms well clean and equipped with all what is needed. Whenever I come back, my stay will be at El Marquez!

Gated, parking inside the gated property. Located less than a 10 minute walk from downtown Antigua’s central plaza. The suite was absolutely beautiful, clean and fully equipped. No central air conditioning, but the weather was good. Definitely recommend.

The suite were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Antigua Guatemala. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 12:00pm. We got to hotel super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The sevice was exceptional as well. Would definitely send a friend there.

Perfect place in Antigua!

The pictures doesn’t die it’s justice! This place was very amazing we stayed in the Don Pedro suite! We were here for 3 nights! Location is very nice! 5-10 min walk to the central park / arch :) we were 6 people, the sofa bed mattress could be more comfortable, but that’s the only thing we can “complain” about!! Else very kind people! Good service!! Helpful! :) and if you need to do laundry, you have a washer and dryer in your suite! And the courtyard was stunning!! Beautiful place! We would come here again

Cool, but hot.

Hotel was nice, clean, and spacious. Since the bedroom was an upstairs loft, it was about 10 degrees hotter than downstairs. Only having a ceiling fan in the bedroom made it a bit uncomfortable. I asked for an extra fan to cool off and the front desk person told me that they didn’t have an extra.

Eco-friendly charming place for family

The suite is spacious and eco-friendly designed. The architecture uses a lot of skylight and natural ventilation (fans in bedrooms). The deco is charming. The kitchen is nice if you have an extended stay and prefer to cook yourself. The location may be slightly far from the town center for people who don't like to walk (~10 min. by foot), but it doesn't bother us at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Although they don't speak English, we were able to communicate with the aid of Google Translate. Very positive experiences indeed!

Nice 2 bedroom condo type property but the stairs were tough with young kids and no one to really talk to at all on property. Ultimately due to stairs and no A/C (was very hard to sleep with heat) so had to relocate yet hotel did not offer any refund at all eventhough we had only stayed 1/3 of our reserved time. They didn't even ask if anything they could do, they just took our key and that was all. Also, it is a little further from dining than most hotels in the Antigua area.

The suites have character, my wife, toddler and I loved it. A couple dollars more for a bigger room is worth it. We love it so much we brought family to join us. Antigua has changed so much and its location is pretty convenient. The view from El volcan de agua is insane! First time in Guatemala for my wife and she wants to come back.😊 Amenities A1. They treat the garden for mosquitoes and bugs which is a plus. I still recommend getting some citronella candel just in case one makes it in.
