The property is my dream hotel, the staff is helpful and kind, the location is excellent my only issue is that the front desk did not make change. It's hard to leave tips when denominations under Q100 are very scarce and the hotel won't help.

I had an amazing five nights stay at the superb hotel. I’ve been there before and I will come again. It’s like a slice of heaven to be there. Everyone treats the gas extremely well and all my requests were handled. It’s in a great location and l I can’t say enough positive things about El Convento. Thank you.

The hotel itself is stunning and the rooms are incredibly comfy. The food was a highlight—total gourmet quality. We wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and try everything on the menu. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. Breakfast room service was also prompt and efficient. Unfortunately, our two-night stay in Room 19 was very disappointing. The room included a jacuzzi, but the water never reached a comfortable temperature. My wife came out shivering, with her skin visibly purple from the cold. The biggest issue was the complete lack of soundproofing. An additional room appears to have been built directly above ours, with extremely thin flooring. We could hear every movement from the upstairs guests, day and night. The noise continued until approximately 11 p.m., sounding like constant stomping. When I contacted the front desk, I was simply told that the guests had just arrived, which did nothing to resolve the situation. The following morning, their alarm from the neighbors went off at 4:15 a.m., and the noise continued afterward, making a restful night’s sleep impossible. We paid $888 for two nights. We regularly stay at hotels in this price range and expect comfortable accommodations, tranquility, and properly functioning amenities. While the staff deserve recognition for their excellent service, the overall experience fell significantly short of expectations. We would not return. Antigua offers much better accommodations for this price.
