It is so close to being the perfect high-end micro hotel it wants to be, that it is such a shame that it misses the mark. The hotel has no staff from noon to 4:30. You cannot arrive between those times and to make matters worse they will charge you if you arrive earlier and want to check in. "Our stay at La Roccia equaled our expectations! From the minute we walked in and met Arianna and Gabriella, we felt welcomed and were treated like family. The rooms are lovely, clean, and each one faces the beautiful waters that define Castro Marina. It was lovely being there just as the summer season is ending - there was plenty of room to enjoy the terraced patios with access to swimming and lazy afternoons in the sun. The restaurant is outstanding; we ate dinner there twice and enjoyed not only the outstanding array of menu items, but also the impeccable service of Lorenzo and Vanessa. We highly recommend La Roccia."

"Lovely hotel and spotless everywhere. No guest access to spa is disappointing and a reduced access price would have seemed sensible The spa is beautiful and one of the best I have ever used! Unfortunately closed every Thursday just when I wanted to have a massage. Strange day to close! Location is a little outside of the city to walk but I had a car. Gallipoli old town is great with lots of life in the evenings and great choice of restaurants"
