"Beautiful property, well maintained and peaceful grounds to relax in. Excellent breakfast, items were fresh and delicious. My only complaint is that there was a slight musty odor and no hair dryer in the room. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again."

The grounds were beautiful, the pool was great, the food was incredible, and the rooms were very comfortable. The host was excellent, going above and beyond with everything! The breakfast was truly excellent. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we would have loved to stay longer. Overall: 10 out of 10 – it hardly gets any better! "I was never able to get to the hotel due to road closures caused by flooding in the area. The hotel never communicated to me via any means before hand. I made multiple attempts trying to get to the hotel through different roads and all ended up being closed at a some point. The sun went down and it was very dark. We were lucky to eventually drive out of the scary dangerous roads. A refund request was denied by the hotel. While I understand the policy, I don’t understand why the hotel never...

"This property and stay was absolutely amazing. Its located in a great part of Douro, but feels very private and secluded. Ivo was great to talk to and responded promptly to all our questions. Lidia is absolutely amazing as well and took care of us as if we were her family. The room was charming and clean, the breakfast was great and the pool was very tranquil and relaxing. We cannot wait to come visit Casa de Azenha again!"
