"We loved the family friendly atmosphere, and that there is a shopping center next to the hotel. There ia a laundry room, and the pool not big but perfect for a night swim. "

"Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Royal Sonesta Kauai. It's connected to a Marriott resort, so there are a lot of restaurants and different spaces in which to relax. Our room was updated and clean, though they only provide in-room services every two days. As a vegetarian, there were limited options and our best meals were off the resort. We traveled all over the coastline to many beaches and I'm glad we did. The beach at the resort is fine, but there are a lot better ones elsewhere. The pool is pretty empty early in the mornings and then later in the evenings and I swam laps and relaxed during those times."

"There is no beach - very rocky. Big undertow. The pool is warm. No problem getting chairs by the pool. The resort shuts down completely by 10pm. No pool, hot tub able to use after 10pm. The food is good. We saw a seal on the sand right outside of our hotel. Staff is friendly. "

"My son and I stayed here and absolutely loved it. The views are spectacular, it's quiet and has an off-the-beaten-path vibe about it that is exactly what we were looking for. I would highly recommend Castle Kaha Lani if that is what you are looking for. We will definitely be back and will stay longer! Great communication and friendly service, too!
