Convenient, Clean, Friendly

The hotel is clean and pretty centrally located. Staff have limited English but are very eager to help with any issue. I have left bags here twice as I have travelled around Maluku, using Ambon as a base. A plus is that there’s a supermarket and a cafe on the first floor of the hotel. Only complaint: the air conditioning is feeble and could use an upgrade.

Room was good and not too small. Service was ok. Good breakfast. Supermarket and small shopping mall with kids playground close by. Only downside: Veeeeery noisy at night. Windows dont close tight so the traffic noise was very loud. In addition to this the calls from various mosques startet at 4am. Together with the very hard bed made sleeping very difficult.

Spacious, clean, good view, odd location.

The room was clean, spacious, and mostly quiet, good mountain view. Good wi-fi; hot water was a bit inconsistent but always available. It seems like most or all of the staff speak English very well. The breakfast (included) had lots of choices, including some local specialties you usually don't see at hotel breakfasts. The staff were always eager to help and solicitous; one thing I've never seen before was someone coming to the door at 0830 to ask when I'd like the room cleaned. On the whole this is a very comfortable hotel, and I'd stay here again. There are a few downsides, however. Right now the building is still under construction, so some of the advertised features (e.g. pool) are not available yet. The location is also not very convenient--at a busy intersection yet not really close to any destinations except the mall. The appalling traffic and interrupted sidewalks mean that, unless you're adventurous, if you want to go anywhere you should probably hire a car or an ojek. In summation, this is a very good hotel by Ambon standards. Because it's new, they're still sorting some things out. Definitely worth trying.

Personeels zijn vriendelijk doch het werken mag efficienter en sneller. De kamers is perfect, echter in de badkamer zie je veel roestplekken.

Santika is een hotel met veel comfort. Het is netjes en er wordt met regelmaat schoongemaakt. Het personeel van bediening tot aan receptie zijn heel klantvriendelijk en geven jou een warm gevoel.
