Gem of a place, Great location and Friendly hosts.
Wonderful stay, could not fault in any way. Rooms furnished to a high standard, very clean and quiet. Fantastic hosts, could not be more helpful. Breakfast cooked to order as per individual requirements, great location, free parking.

Wonderful stay at Lacet house for my mums birthday, we were made to feel really welcome and looked after. The room was beautiful and just perfect for the 3 of us and the breakfast was delicious, would love to stay again 😀

Wonderful b&b. A weekends fellwalking trip was made all the more enjoyable by tbe friendly helpful hosts & great breakfast. All at a very reasonable cost.

A little Gem
A wonderful B&B. Though parking was minimal at Lacet, Ambleside has ample parking without charges. This did not spoil our stay. Lacet excelled from room to breakfast, hosts were both accommodating & more than helpful. Ambleside is an ideal base for visiting the Lakes, the Lacet was the 'icing on the cake'. Look forward to our next visit, many thanks Lacet for an enjoyable stay.

Fabulous stay!
Had an amazing 5 night stay at Lacet House. Geri and Mick were so friendly. Really comfortable spacious room and a very comfy bed. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was amazing!!

Very convenient.
2 days nice room ,close to town. Good breakfast choices (done the night before. Parking can be one behind the other, but we were lucky as the street parking restriction sign just happened to be removed.

Cannot pick one fault with the B&B. Owners and staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms very homely and clean. Great base for getting out and around Ambleside and Windermere. Would recommend and will be returning in the future

Excellent !! Do not hesitate to book this lovely bed and breakfast. Lovely greeting from the owners. Location is fantastic with free parking. Rooms are very clean and modern with comfortable beds. We found the accommodation quiet with great views. We had a room at the top (American double). Breakfast was also cooked perfection. Little extras in room - tea coffee, water and biscuits. We usually stay in Bowness when visiting family but decided to give Ambleside a go instead. Very pleased we did, Many nice places to eat and locations to walk nearby. As for covid - the owners are doing well to ensure your safety. We will definitely return. Kind Regards J&R

Great location. Lovely character building & room decor. Very friendly and helpful owners. Great brekkies with variety of menue items. Our family room was warm and comfortable and had lots of space.

Welcome was frosty, when the male owner thought we were already in our room and said he wasn't expecting guests. Room was smaller than expected, but clean. Breakfast was disappointing; poached egg undercooked, bacon and sausage overcooked; tomato rock hard; and beans had been left under a hot lamp, as they were dry. Hotel is well situated; however, parking is limited and we had to use street parking.

The property was very clean and charming. The location was central to everything and having a free parking spce was wonderful. The hosts were very accomadating and treated us like royalty. When we return to the area we will be booking here again! We loved staying somewhere that felt like we were staying with good friends instead of a stuffy hotel.

Great accommodation in the centre of Ambleside. Our family room was spacious and comfortable and the the owners couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choices... all in all a perfect stay. Have already booked again for Spring!

Central location with parking.
Spacious clean room, comfy bed and good facilities. Host was really friendly and made you feel really welcome. Location central with off road parking a real bonus. Would benefit from an extractor fan to outside or windows that opened to enable the steam from the shower to escape, as windows steamed up.

Our new number one!
We’ve been visiting Ambleside for a long time but it was our first stay at Lacet House. It’s now our new number one location. Family-run, great location, unbelievable choice for breakfast and a perfect night’s sleep. We’ll be staying there each visit from now on as it’s such good value for money.

Quite B&B very close to town center.
Only down point was that we booked a family room, through Expedia, but, on arrival at the B&B were told that they did not have family rooms available. We had to put a put up bed in our room. So I think Expedia miss sold us this.

Hi we are sorry about this, we are trying to rectify what is going on with the information we gave to expedia was that it was a superking or twin room. We are not given information about guests so are unable to get in touch with them. We only have one family room which has a double and 2 single beds though this room does not have an ensuite. We are trying to rectify this with expedia

アンブルサイドのバスターミナルから徒歩3分と移動に最高の立地。とはいえ喧騒さはなく落ち着いた雰囲気。アンブルサイドはウィンダミアンに比べて街並みがシックで大人の雰囲気がある。湖水地方の観光地への中間に位置しているので、どこに行くにも便利。 部屋は可愛い家具や飾りがあり、ベッドは天蓋付きだった。シャワーが瞬間湯沸し器タイプで操作に戸惑ったが、親切に教えてくれた。 朝食は伝統的なイングリッシュブレックファーストで内容の選択もできる。 コスパも高くパーフェクト！特に女性にオススメです
