"Easy to find. Private parking down the driveway. Extremely well presented inside from a decoration and artwork perspective. The bedroom I had was very well put together from an esthetics perspective. Also, a nice, and well maintained garden to wander around. There is an honesty bar with a good choice of whiskeys and other drinks, plus another larger lounge to relax in. Breakfast was very tasty with a good selection of options. "New parking charge of £10 per day. Ants in bedroom, pool locker jammed and had to wait 25 mins to get clothes etc and asked for a towel to be told to use the hairdryer to warm myself. No plug in wash hand basin. Feel that hotel has been let to run down lately. Food expensive !!! "

"Room was clean, functional and every thing worked as should, bathroom was spotless and plenty hot water and clean towels were pure white clean. There was a communal space to sit and have food, bit disappointed bar down stairs was closed ,but not in full season so not major issue. One recommendation is to swap the wood framed bed for a divan based, Badly injured my knee stepping down into the room hitting knee on bed frame as so close to step, this could have been avoided if was a divan which...

"Yes the property is very dog friendly which we love and the staff are extremely attentive and welcoming the bar has plenty to offer drinks wise and the food and menu are literally out of this world."

"Arrived at hotel early evening. Had problems from beginning i.e. trying to log in to pay for parking, enquiries re breakfast. Staff do not know anything about parking, restaurant and leisure facilities as they are all owned separately. Have stayed here often over previous years but sadly it has gone downhill. However, the room was clean, bed and bedding was very comfortable and bathroom/shower came with soap and toiletry sachets. We didn't get breakfast as it didn't look worth paying £14. ...

"Staff was very helpful. We had a late check in and they were there to assist. Breakfast was a plus we were not expecting and having a restaurant/bar onsite was very convenient. One downside was that the wifi was not working in our room; but, they did state in advance that not all rooms could reach the wifi because of how old the building was. For a small historic town the room was perfect. Our room had a great view on to a courtyard."

"Check in was good and easy and the restaurant was great. The rib-eye steak was amazing! Hotel room was good size but a little dated and extremely cold. The heating was only working for less than a minute and then it goes off. I tried to turn on severally but it wouldn’t turn on for another maybe 5 minutes or so then on less than a minute and then off. I struggled with cold through out the night. I was in room 6 for a night."
