"Fantastic hotel and location. We went in the summer so not skiing but this place (Garmish) and the hotel Riessersee was out trip's highlight. Amazing service from everyone there. Restaurant, bar, reception, everyone was helpful and friendly. "

"The hotel was really relaxed and the size and temperature of the pool excellent. My fault, I did not note the rooms did not have AC and it was very hot. However, reception were helpful and provided fans which we really appreciated. The location was peaceful and we did not notice the sound of the trains. Our youngest struggled with the food a little but overall, the hotel is truly excellent and staff helpful."

"We reached hotel and we have been told that the lift is working and after carrying our trolley bags to a different building through a tunnel , we got to know that the lift has not been repaired. We had to carry our suitcase to the top 2nd floor via stairs and no support was provided to provide accommodation in the building near to reception. At the time of check out , we asked at the reception that we need help to bring our luggage down due to the lift not working but no one came to our room for...

"Celebrated an anniversary and birthday while staying at the Waxenstein. An anniversary card and chocolates in our room and a special birthday breakfast table with champagne for my wife’s birthday. All unexpected but greatly appreciated. No doubt our future trip to Grainau will include a stay at the Waxenstein."

"This hotel is more a series of rooms with a brief front desk that is available from 4PM - 8PM. Rooms are spacious, but basic. There is Breakfast on offer. But lunch, and no dinner. And also no bar. Therefore you need a car if you are staying here. There are 2 restaurants available in walking distance (approx. 15 mins) and an infrequent public bus / train service which if you miss a bus, wait an hour. Miss a train, wait an hour.
