Top Alexandria - Mediterranean Coast Hotel Reviews

Crowne Plaza Alexandria Mirage by IHG

8/10 Good

"Everything was good"

SUNRISE Alex Avenue Hotel

8/10 Good

"Sunrise Alex is one of the most sensible choices in Alexandria. It is in the middle of the "Corniche" as is often referred to Al Geish East-West coastal road in Alex with good transportation to downtown or to Montazah Palace and beyond. The hotel is well maintained, and the breakfast options are plenty. Rooms are conveniently on the beach and pools, and the enclosed beach allows for good safe swimming. Like many hotels in Egypt they are relaxed about smoking and if you do not smoke you may find this a problem. The noise from the road and adjacent party venues is sometimes loud but the room insulation and placement down near the beach helps lower the noise levels. Staff are very helpful and pleasant and eager to help. Of course gratuities are always expected at any level of service."

Rixos Montaza Alexandria

10/10 Excellent

"The property is very nice. The breakfast was outstanding. The staff were super friendly. I hoped the pool was heated as shown on their site especially in October , especially it was a bit chilly! I asked them why is it not heated? They said it will be heated starting November! Not sure why not in October especially that no one was daring to use the pool and always empty, so it needs to be heated !!!"

Steigenberger Cecil Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This was a lovely hotel with charming period pieces. It is in a fabulous position looking over the Mediterranean. The restaurant has a lovely view and the breakfast was varied and plentiful. All the staff in the restaurant were attentive. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel. AB"
