"I mean the beds were comfortable and the overnight staff evening rather was very nice the lady in the morning acted like I was bothering her because she was on the phone when I asked her about coffee. The safe in the room was broken and up in the top of the closet the hair dryer looks like it had melted but it did work. The beds were made in a way that they looked horrible but at least it was clean but it was very sloppily done. I'm not really sure I would stay there again. Also it does say don't park in front of the doors but I had to let my handicapped mother walk because everybody was parked in front of the doors and I couldn't get close enough to let her out. That was the little frustrating but that really wasn't on the hotel that was on people and Humanity"

"I was absolutely charmed to find this beautiful little cottage close to downtown Vicksburg. It appears that the same management runs the Duff Greene mansion nearby. That is where breakfast and the welcoming glass of wine are served. Anyway, still cottage has three rooms on the street level as well as a lovely little lounge. They were very welcoming of my dog who also helped felt right at home and was on her best behavior I guess because it felt like home. It’s right on the historic walking trails in Vicksburg, which was a nice little perk as well. The only thing I would change about this spot is to upgrade the mattresses and pillows. They are very definitely in the OK range. That said, I will very likely stay here each time I make this annual trip."

"Our stay was fantastic. The property is gorgeous and atmospheric and the staff were great. We stayed in the Hideaway room and really enjoyed the courtyard and pool. Breakfast was very good and served in a beautiful dining room. I wish there was a little more parking room but that is kind of an unavoidable issue. Overall I would strongly recommend the Duff Green Mansion and sister property Halpino without hesitation. Our family only wished we could have stayed longer."
