"We’ve spent the last 5 years here for the July 4th celebrations and we always love it. However, many things had changed and not all for the good. The biggest complaint among our group and many others was their legendary pizza is no longer available! We’ve been enjoying that pizza for probably over 15 years and this year they changed the recipe and it wasn’t great at all. They also remodeled their pizza/ice cream area and only offer 3 flavors of ice cream now as before it was usually 6-7 flavors. A definite plus now, however, is the beach loungers are free if you’re staying at their resort. If only I had a slice of their original pizza to enjoy on that free lounger - that would have warranted 5 stars!"

"This was an excellent hotel. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The entire property was clean and maintained. The pool area was beautiful and very clean. I stayed with my four daughters and they loved it. The location was perfect, with just short drives to public beach access, shopping and restaurants. We saw two concerts at the Wharf Amphitheater, and it was only a 15 minute drive to get there. We enjoyed our stay."

Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Foley - North Gulf Shores

"This was a great place to stay. Shopping directly across the street. Great restaurants less than a mile driving from the hotel. We drove about 20-30 minutes to the beach but the kids enjoyed the hotel pool more. Staff was very friendly & helpful. The tv in my room didn’t work the first night, the front desk employee came to our room to help. First thing next morning maintenance was there to fix it. On the last day the grounds keeper was happy to stop what he was doing to show us where we could wash out the sand buckets the kids had used on the beach. Breakfast was good each morning. Lady smiled the whole time she came out to refresh the bar. Literally when I was booking and saw ‘Econo Lodge’ I thought it would be a 2star. I must say this is definitely a 4star."
