I traveled alone and thought I would be lonely. The staff like: Leo, Alex, Derek and Emma , from the concierge made me feel like I was family. They would go out of their way to make sure everything was good or if I needed anything. They would talk to me throughout the day! Just what I needed because after I lost my husband, I was not sure how lonely the traveling would be.

I wish I could give no stars to this resort . We have never have had a resort receive us with pure rudeness. Day1- As soon as we checked in we were welcomed by nice people at the front desk , we did have to wait since our room had to have curtains replaced ? ( which is okay ) We get to our room , our A/C was down for 2 days ( 93 temp outside ) of course as a family of 5 this puts stress. Day 2- we give it another try and start our day with a positive mind and have breakfast, husband sits us at a table with our kids - to be rudely greeted by the waiter , he was mad we got our own silverware and said the boss would get mad at him and expressed to us why we couldn’t we couldn’t sit elsewhere. ( we were hot and tired from the night before and just wanted a nice breakfast) I explained that there is a way to talk to “Customers” or “ Guests” and this was not it . I still tipped him , and thanked him for the service. The next day , we sat in his area by accident and he refused to serve us ( another waiter told him we needed drinks ) and he said he wasn’t doing it. We have never felt so disrespected and hated the fact that this was the only place we could eat at due to this employee . All the restaurants are full ahead of time, It’s impossible to make a reservation. Concierge and the front desk do not have good communication with each other . Mexico is always our favorite place to travel to and out of 20 years of coming , this was our First TERRIBLE stay.

The property is under renovations, which we knew when we booked. Therefore there was half the people. Beach/pools/restaurants were alwasys available, good thing. The staff was excellent. Diego and Cristoffer were are concierges any issue we had ( which were minor) they had corrected in a timely fashion. Karin at the big pool looked after us daily. Great lady. Ivan at the main desk also did every thing to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Again, the staff was excellent. I would recommend Sirenus to my friends and family. Great vacation. We were there for seven days. During those seven days, our room had intermittent running water. There was mold in our shower. Hot water was sometimes unavailable. The sink was clogged, and the toilet wouldn't flush. The room had trouble cooling off, and some nights I woke up sweating. We ate at different locations. One of them never served us anything to drink. We literally finished eating without a cup of water. We had to get up, walk to the bar, and request water. The workers there gave us an attitude. On our way out, our sink started spewing dark water, so I had to use a bottle of purified water to brush my teeth instead. While the resprt does have a nice ocean view and pools to entertain the negatives simply overshadowed the positives. Not bieng able to sleep on our bed because sleeping on a couch located underneath a cieling fan IS NOT GOOD AT ALL.

We love the beach - it is safe for kids. The property is being updated. It’s a huge property, so be ready to walk. Jungle atmosphere and value for money. Food is okah, but we find things we like regularly (fresh fruit, eggs, etc) Staff is awesome. Shoutout to clemente and diana for their great service.

The resort property was set in beautiful lush vegetation. The snorkeling was good with a coral reef out from the beach. Close to shore were many fish we enjoyed. Water socks are needed for swimming.The birds and wild animals were fascinating. The food at the buffet was so delicious with great presentation. The food at the French and Japanese restaurants were fantastic. Our concierges, Fernando and Hernan, were very helpful with booking restaurants and dealing with a maintenance issue which was fixed promptly. The staff were all friendly and happy to serve us. It would be nice if there were more shuttles for those with mobility issues. We were able to walk and got plenty of exercise. The lazy river and the quiet pool with the shade and beautiful trees protected us from the sun for swimming. The free dolphin show was fun. Three of us stayed for swimming with the dolphins for a great experience. The resort was spacious and didn't feel crowded at all. Our group of 11 people had three rooms. Two rooms were adjoining which was great. The third room was on a different floor and was charged extra for the ocean view. It would be helpful to have all the rooms side by side which we did request weeks in advance. Public transportation would be easier if a collectivo, bus stop was at the front of the resort. If the resort provided airport shuttle to and from the Cancun airport that would be great too. Our holiday was rather expensive but our family all had a wonderful time together.

Loved the pools and lazy river. Food was just bad. Impossible to get into the specially restaurants as all reservations except a couple very late reservations were booked up. Lunch options at the beach were inedible. Not at all what you’d expect from an all inclusive. Very much find your own service or self serve. Would not return.

Very relaxing. When though they were doing construction at the hotel (that neither Expedia or the hotel mentioned) it was quiet and relaxing. Staff were amazing. We did lose power the last night several times in the night. Then the water wasn't working. I assume they are on a pump system and when the power went out the water system couldn't pump. Food was average. Dishes didn't change through the week. Always the same thing for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We had a great time at this resort with a large family group with small children! The room was newly renovated and always well cleaned. The selection of food at buffets was always great! We really enjoyed the beach buffet and tacos, the Japanese restaurant, and the outdoor evening seafood restaurant. Drinks and smoothies were great! The staff are so friendly and hardworking. Thank you to our concierge Fernando! We all loved the quiet pool because if feels like jungle all around you and makes for more shade a large percent of the day. Kids and grown ups loved the lazy river and the dolphin experience. My 3 yr old was delighted to kiss, shake a fin, hug etc the dolphins. The beach is fantastic for small children to be able to snorkel with fish in shallow calm water! And adults can enjoy snorkelling in the deeper water out past the rocks to see coral reef and even the occasional sting ray! We also really enjoyed walking south to crocodile lagoon for another really neat snorkelling experience with fish in the mangroves. One of the only downsides was that the kids splash pool and waterslides were closed (presumably for renovations?). That was an unexpected disappointment for the kids. Also it would be nice if some of the more kid friendly evening entertainment (The Lion King show and Circus show) was at an earlier hour... maybe 7pm instead of 9pm. Tip: It's an easy walk to the highway where you can take a collectivo (public transit) to Akumal, Tulum, or cenotes (Aktun Chen)

I liked the beach and pool areas. I was a little anxious to see if the construction would have an impact on these areas. The resort was not overcrowded and always a spot by the pool and near the beach. The staff were incredible and always asking if everything was ok with our stay.

The food was really good, and even though reservations to restaurants seemed booked at the start, there were plenty of cancellations and we were able to get reservations at the times and restaurants of our choice almost every time. The a la carte option was always great, though, so you don’t even need to worry about reservations. The pool activities were super fun and we loved playing beach volleyball with other guests. Our favorites were The Good Bar, the health juice bar, the crepes at the main buffet, the spa, the dolphins, the snorkeling, and general safe and beautiful ambiance. We had a great stay and we’re sad to leave. Ricardo, one of the bellhops, hooked us up with a rental car so we could explore Akumal Beach, Playa del Carmen, and other spots on our own. So much to do at the resort though, so no real need to leave. Would definitely recommend with or without kids.

We had a great family vacation at Grand Sirenis. Our hotel room was newly renovated and very nice! The room was cleaned each each day. The beach was great for snorkeling and we brought our own snorkels. There’s a great beach for swimming with no rocks. We ate lunch at the bbq place on the beach each day for freshly made tacos. My son was in love with all of the animals at the resort and we would float in the lazy river to look for coati, monkeys and iguanas. There were monkeys in the trees in the resort each day. We loved all of the restaurants and had great service. The outdoor seafood place was delicious! We did the dolphin experience at the resort and they gave the kids a lot of time with them. We loved that there were always plenty of seats at the pool. We never got the chance to walk to Crocodile Cove on the resort to snorkel, next time we will. Thanks for everything!

Rooms booked were not rooms we received. Had to switch rooms 4 times- poor ac, rooms smell of mold, jacuzzis do not have hot water. Some days resort had only cold water, others only burning hot. Ala carte reservations are a laugh- they will not have any for you. shuttles are minimal and it is a BIG resort with no indoor/ac walking ways. prepare to be harassed into doing the time share bit, and if you decline you will get attitude. Stains all over headboard and room, rooms with doors that dont lock, crappy fridge (cant keep meds cold), half of swim up bar now also closed. Super bummed that it wasnt what we were advertised or sold. Trying to get reimbursed some and neither expedia or the resort are willing to help or be accountable.

I loved everything about this resort. The staff were very personable and cared for you. I was treated very well. The drinks and food were amazing. It was a stunning resort with lots to do. I would say it could have used more events and the club is kinda far make sure to shuttle and not walk. Dianna/diane I forgot she was so helpful getting us reservations. Highly recommend this resort!

The reason why I didn’t read it a five star was because our room was a bit dirty. The AC was not functioning properly and they did not install the shower gel or shampoo. We had to call three times to get that repaired. Other than that. The facilities are beautiful. The food is great specially the tacos at the snack bar, had a great time shows were also great. I recommend the French restaurant and the Brazilian steakhouse.

We stayed during the major renovations and never felt that we were missing out. The resort did an amazing job on relocating entertainment and restaurants. The food was great at the buffets, but the a la Cartes had the best food. Our room with an Ocean View was stunning and modern, clean and the housekeeping always made sure we had fresh towels & the fridge restocked daily. Staff were friendly and very attentive. This resort is a great place for families, to enjoy, pools, the lazy river, beach, discover sealife (fish swim right up to you in the small cove) and wildlife throughout the jungle. Situated just outside the property, still within the gated community are a few shops, pharmacy and corner store that is a great walk to pick up some snacks for the room. Our concierge Derek and Isaac were phenomenal!!!! I can't say enough about how much Derek did for us. Upon arrival, he made a call and got us an a la carte on our 2nd night there! He then arranged a la cartes for us for the entire week, and every morning greeted us with a smile, friendly chatting and ensured our day was going good . He was always available when we needed anything and helped us find our way and even called us a shuttle when it was raining to get us to the main lobby, dry. We highly recommend this resort and looking forward to a trip back!

Huge resort, never felt crowded. Natural beach area was amazing, whole school of fish swimming at our ankles, didn’t even need to snorkel. Swam with dolphins, hung out with monkeys, and watched the Coatis and iguanas scramble around. Tons of food options and fun events at night. Would go back.

We stayed for 6 nights in a mini suite with our two kids. The room was huge, giving lots of space for the kids to run around. A tv was available in the second room with two separate beds to let the kids chill out after long days in the sun. All areas of the hotel were extremely clean and folks were working hard. The pools were great and close to the rooms. The beach was great and the water was beautiful. Super clean beach despite there being seaweed some days. We lucked out with only one evening of rain and that only lasted a few hours. We were able reserve a restaurant for every evening. The food selection was great for the buffets and we quickly found our favourites. The service in the restaurants were always wonderful and the majority of the servers in the two buffets were pleasant. There was renovations being completed in half the resort and so capacity was less than normal. We were always able to find an ideal spot at any of the pools or beach, or in any of the dining halls without an issue. Two minor hiccups (which I didn’t try to have addressed): 1) the pillows were super lumpy and soft. 2) I had a hydrotherapy session included but I was not aware until after 3 days. I was not told I needed my swimsuit so couldn’t go It was one first all inclusive and first time in Mexico and we loved it. The resort would be one we recommend. Our only worry is that next time we go back it will be at full capacity and we won’t be so spoiled with no line ups.

We had a wonderful time. The staff were all very kind and helpful, the beach was clean, we could always find a chair at the beach or pool, the Concierge was very helpful at finding us a la carte restaurants to book us in. They remembered our names. It was my moms birthday so we ordered a cake and decor to her room, and it was so wonderful! They even decorated it again the next day, and gave her a cake at one of the restaurants! Wonderful time!

I recently stayed at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and despite the ongoing renovation, I found it to be a beautiful and enjoyable experience. The resort offers a plethora of amenities, including relaxing massages, a lazy river perfect for unwinding, and an excellent gym for fitness enthusiasts. One of the standout aspects of my stay was the friendliness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that guests felt welcomed and taken care of. In particular, I had the pleasure of interacting with Diana, the guest service lady, who provided exceptional service throughout my stay. Diana not only assisted me with arranging a refund for a canceled excursion but also consistently checked on the status of our stay to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Her willingness to assist with any request made our experience truly memorable. Overall, despite the ongoing renovations, the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa offers a fantastic getaway experience with top-notch amenities and exceptional service from the staff, especially from individuals like Diana. Overall this place is beautiful, we did have some bugs in our room but they weren’t life threatening! We did enjoy the food and staff was so pleasant. There could be some improvement in the shuttle transport throughout the hotel. We had to walk to the spa because a shuttle never picked us up. We bonded with a server by the name of David Baak Tun who was so amazing and attentive . We will definitely come back with our family.

My family and I had two rooms at the resort from March 31 to April 7. Had a great holiday, lovely resort, had been concerned after hearing about renovations, but they did not affect us at all. Had some issues with booking the A la carte restaurants on the app, but the concierge was wonderful and got it sorted out, thanks to Cristoffer and Alfred for all their help during out stay. Would highly recommend staying here. Buffets were great and lots to do if you want to or just relax. Our 22 month old granddaughter loved the kids pool and there was always good choices for kids meals. All staff were very attentive in all areas, spoke with several managers all asking how our stay was going and if we needed anything....had great chat with Marlene Castro. Dinner in the Peruvian restaurant was our favourite. Thank you again to everyone at Grand Sirenis.

My partner and I just returned home from our second stay at Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa and it certainly won’t be our last!!! The highlights of our stay are always the incredible snorkelling, dining, and staff that makes you feel well taken care of and at home. Nathaniel and Fernando were fantastic in making sure my dietary restrictions were adhered to every step of the way - this took the only stress out of travelling for us! Thank you! Early on in our stay we connected with Edgar who made sure our second stay was a very special one, thank you “family”!!!

I would highly recommend this resort. The staff was excellent. There was a lot to do on the resort, there was plenty of stuff to do off the resort as well. We stayed at this resort while renovations were happening and we didn't hear any of the renovations and there was still plenty of room and activities to do. This was a great vacation.

Loved my stay so much. Glad I didn’t go with the previous reviews. Staff were super attentive and nice. Anahi at the buffet was so nice everyday she would greet us in the buffet and brought us our drinks. My kiddos loved the kids club: Andrea, Listy, and Elia had so many activities for the kids that my children asked to go to kids club everyday. Estrella the concierge helped reserve our a la crate dinners as well. Great beach location beautiful crystal clear water and white sand. Excellent service from everyone. Alberto the butler was super nice as well. Definitely coming back. Plus there is hot water in the entire facility. Roxana the sales specialist and Miguel Castilleros were also very nice to us.

Amazing place, only concern is not having menus for dinner with allergens listed, would recommend going to anyone. Staff were all great.
