"The Best Western Plus Larco Hotel is overrated. It's outside the city center (30 to 40 minutes on foot), the rooms are tiny and certainly not what you would expect of a hotel that is rated 4 stars, the breakfast is ordinary and repetitive. They also have a nickel and dime attitude that is deplorable. As an example, they give you one litre of water the first day that you arrive, but want you to pay for it starting on the second day. Our biggest gripe, though, was that we were not informed beforehand that the pool was being renovated. the pool was a major factor in choosing the hotel and, apart from a ramshackle taverna, there is nothing much nearby, so we were not happy."

"The only thing I didn’t like was the surprising lack of power outlets in the room. I’ve never come across this before, even in 100 year old buildings. There was one dedicated to the fridge, one for the electric kettle, and one spare. By contrast, the 3star hotel I’m in now, has six power outlets, including on both sides of the bed. This is not, in my experience excessive, just standard. The 2 star hotel I stayed in Athens also had more than enough outlets. That’s the only fault I can find with...
