"The “hot tub” is actually a cold tub. The hotel explained that the solar panels and air temperature affect the water, but they acknowledged it was cold and unlikely to change. Since the hot tub was one reason I booked this room, I may have chosen differently had I known.
That said, the location and view made the stay worthwhile. Being at the top of the caldera meant we didn’t have to climb eight flights of stairs every time we left, which was a huge plus.
