Spirit Lake Lodge

Spirit Lake Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"We had to surrender our campsite after a huge storm came towards the Rockies, so we stayed 2 nights at Spirit Lake Lodge in the nearby town of Grand Lake. As we drove in, I noted the really nice shopping center across the street, and eventually got some delicious pizza at Firefly. The 2 queen bed room was nice, because the second bed was located in a separate bedroom, allowing for separate space and privacy. I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but the young man at the front desk provided all the information I needed. From the bathrooms to the mini fridge and microwave, this room had clean and modern amenities. The main issue was the pillows, which definitely made it close to the top of the worst hotel pillows I’ve used; luckily I had my own pillow. Overall, a little pricey, but for a little resort town near the national park I wanted to visit, Spirit Lake Lodge turned my stormy nights into comfortable ones."
