It was a wonderful stay with a good breakfast in the morning and helpful staff. The room was fine and had a small balcony as well. Can recommend this hotel for living in Abrantes
A fabulous stay here by family of 3. Great room with king bed and a single bed for 16 year old. Fabulous decor and bathroom and in room air conditioning. The staff were amazing and alway happy, polite and willing to help I. Every way. Nice main pool with separate Childs shallow pool and a gym/spa area. Located on top of a large hill with excellent views over the surrounding countryside and only 5 minutes of the main motorway. Breakfast was included and excellent with hot/cold options, good selection of pastries and cereals with various juices/coffee etc etc. extremely happy with the stay, hotel and staff. Highly recommend staying here and we will be back as we have a large amount of family and friends in the area.
View from the lounge and rooms is amazing. Breakfast had everything a person could want. The room was very clean. The only negative thing is that the last day (of 6) I noticed that at night one or two rooms on the top floor could actually see anyone taking a shower in our bathroom as there is no covering on the bathroom window.
Stunning hotel, with amazing views. Good breakfast, cozy room. That said, the service leaves much to be desired. Inexperienced staff. Our VIP Access booking has been not VIP at all. Cleaning room had to be requested 2 times in the same day (at 2 pm, it hadn't been done yet). We ran out of toilet paper. Our gift voucher for a bottle of wine has been exchanged for a mini bottle of wine... Are you kidding me? And this is a so-called 4-stars hotel! There was no manager to reach out and report any of that, and the man in charge of the restaurant was really arrogant about the "wine issue", saying that "a bottle of wine can be either small or large", and if we weren't happy with the small one, it was because of "our own expectations". Unbelievable. Never coming back.
Very nice property with beautiful views, clean and classic decor. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the room was comfortable. Good breakfast and easy parking.
A great hotel, well placed with good views over surrounding countryside. The pool was a good size with plenty of sunbeds.
Service and food in the restauarant was great, and cost less than we expected.
We had a very disappointing stay! We arrived at the hotel and there was no parking left as locals were using it all as no number plates were recorded. We entered the reception and there were 3 staff at the desk with 1 customer. Not one of them acknowledged us or smiled or said sorry to keep you waiting for 15 minutes in total! We had booked half board and the food buffet was very poor and cold! The ‘hot containers’ were cold. We then had bad stomachs all evening. Breakfast in the morning was exactly the same, cold eggs, mushrooms and bacon etc. The room was tiny and so was the bathroom. No robes and no slippers. Very disappointing.
Booked a non-smoking room in this hotel for two nights several weeks in advance of a large event in a neighboring town. In the hallway right in front of our room, we were greeted by a fresh cigarette butt that hadn't been extinguished and left to burn a small hole in the dirty carpet (photo). The room itself was smelling of stale smoke, mixed with a heavy dose of room spray. The ashtray that comes with this "non-smoking" room was still sitting on the chair at the open sliding glass door to the balcony (photo). Upon entering the room, my partner had an acute allergic reaction to the overpowering stench of chemical room spray. We immediately left the room and requested another room. Unfortunately, the only other room available had been treated with the same spray. The front desk team was professional, understanding, and helpful. They first offered a fan (which then didn't arrive) and then a gift certificate for a bottle of wine in the hotel restaurant. We requested cancellation and a full refund instead. They said they were not authorized for making that decision, but offered to refund the second night. We were left to find another accommodation in the middle of the night. We didn't receive any refund, neither the one offered, nor the one requested.
