"This property is far from being a true 5-star hotel — I would say it barely reaches a 4-star european level. The accommodation itself was not bad, but it was not what we expected, or at least not what they advertise.

"The Rocpool is a great place to stay in Inverness. It’s walkable into town, with a little uphill climb. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the room itself was very comfortable. The A/C was a huge plus since it was unusually warm during our stay. We had to leave before breakfast one morning for a day trip, and the hotel thoughtfully packed pastries, fruit, and sandwiches for us to take along, which we really appreciated. "Wonderful, friendly welcome and very well trained staff - just the right balance of attention and interaction. Very comfortable with quality surrounding us. Food excellent with a detailed explanation of dishes & wines. Lovely views over the Loch and walks within the grounds. Expedia had failed to pass on our booking to the hotel so we were not expected but staff recognised it was Expedia's failure but even so were apologetic and upgraded our room !"
