Stayed here for 3 nights. Nice hotel located on 2nd road right across from the big c complex. As for the rooms, it has an interesting contemporary design, and clean. I had the beach view room and my stay was very comfortable. The pool on the 24th floor has amazing view of central and south pattaya. Also, I like the fact that it has a parking structure which can access to the hotel lobby. I would definitely stay here again.
"Charming hotel, great staff and ocean view rooms"
After arriving in the early morning after a long flight and drive from Bangkok, the great experience with the excellent staff started when they changed my reservation to another room, which was available, so that I could check in early and get some rest. It was 10:30 AM!
Throughout my stay, the ever smiling and attentive staff spared no effort to provide a pleasant experience in Pattaya, even dealing with tour operators on my behalf to sort out hiccups with tours I had booked directly with venues/operators.
The rooms are spacious, very nicely designed and transmit a positive vibe. The hotel offers a varied selection of VOD movies (selectable using your TV's menu system) for free in case you decide to stay in or are just in the mood to watch a flick.
The location on beach road is a great base to explore Pattaya and the surrounding areas. Speed boat tours to Coral Island take off from nearby so often you don't even need to arrange for transportation. Walking distance (5 to 10 mins) to Mike Shopping Mall, Central Festival (with a great movie theater) and Royal Garden Plaza Mall (where you find Ripley's Believe It or Not museum) mare it a great location for conventional shopping and some clean entertainment. For those seeking stronger emotions, Walking Street is less than a 15 minute walk from the hotel.
A good hotel to stay as its not too busy as South or Central Pattaya.
The food in the hotel is good, we were too tired so decided to dinner at the hotel. The foods were good and the price surprisingly reasonable!
The hotel staff are OK but after check in no staff asking if we need help to bring our bag to the room or bring us to the room. (Normally 4/5 star hotel does)
The room were OK not too small, the bed was comfy and clean BUT the bathroom was not clean as we found a spiderweb under the sink and the fruit flies on the drain... I wasnt take it serious but in 4 star hotel they should be more aware of cleanliness.

For single guy looking for a good place to sleep this is good. I don't really recommend taking wife or girlfriend. I was at the Holiday Inn with my 10 year old son. It was great and worth 4 times the price of Selection. Then on Friday night it went up to 8 times the price so I moved to Selection. In every way a big step down from Holiday Inn but still glad I made the move for the price. The lobby was barely air-conditioned. The staff was nice and checkin a lot faster than Holiday Inn but English not that good so special requests unlikely to work. The hallways had a smell like day after Korean BBQ. The breakfast was bad (except for the omelet and fried potatoes which is what I eat). Room was tired but bed and shower were pretty good. Air-conditioner was underpowered but did eventually get room cool. There was faint nice of a generator and disco when I opened glass door to balcony at night but after I put in my earplugs i heard no noise and fell right asleep and I'm extremely noise sensitive.
