"This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great. You go to the Sabi Sands for the exceptional leopard sightings and amazing safaris. This place does not dissapoint - in one drive we had 2 leopard cub...

"This place is a must go. From the moment you checkin and are greeted by Francisco to the time you leave, you feel like the most important person in the world. The guides we had (Simon, Rudolph) were incredible and got us up close and personal with the animals. We will be taking our family back! "

"Ein tolles Hotel - mit einem Makel: wir hatten Zimmer 5, das leider wirklich muffig / feucht gerochen hat. Ich weiß, dass das Hotel älter ist, weil Freunde vor 8 Jahren dort waren, und glaube es ist einfach renovierungsbedürftig. Auch manche Wände mit (Wasser)Flecken im Haupthaus. Man riecht es direkt beim Betreten des Zimmers und unsere Klamotten haben seitdem gerochen. Hervorzuheben ist aber: tolles Personal das gut englisch spricht! Und tolles Essen, das sehr frisch zubereitet und toll...

"Waterbuck Lodge is a small, intimate lodge with only four rooms. Our room was beautifully appointed. The bedroom is sizeable, with a very large comfortable bed. There is plenty of storage space (both hanging and shelving), a dressing table and an armchair. There is a small safe in the wardrobe to keep your valuables secure.
