Kruger Gate Hotel

Kruger Gate Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The Kruger Gate Hotel really is the dream hotel and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is simply incredible. There cannot be many places in the world where you can relax in a swimming pool while watching hippos and elephants at the watering hole. It was one of those experiences that you have to keep reminding yourself is actually real. The food was another huge highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were incredible, with an amazing amount of choice and consistently excellent quality. Every meal felt like an experience in itself and we genuinely looked forward to seeing what was on offer each day. The entertainment was also amazing and added so much to the whole experience. It was wonderful to feel immersed in the local culture while enjoying our evenings at the hotel. One moment that will stay with me was hearing the staff sing The Lion Sleeps Tonight while we were eating. Iโ€™ll admit, I even got a little glassy-eyed. It was such a special and unexpectedly emotional moment and perfectly captured the magic of being there. The staff were absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive and they all played a part in making the hotel feel so special. We also booked our safaris through the hotel and they were incredibly well planned, exciting and undoubtedly some of the highlights of our trip."

Kruger Shalati - Train on the Bridge and Garden Suites

10/10 Excellent
"An incredible experience from beginning to end. After the post-booking questionnaire on my favourite tipple, my expectations were high for the upcoming trip to Shalati. Those expectations were exceeded in the superior level of service, quality of food/drink, the room and the overall Shalati experience. The included game drives were great, knowing in advance that luck plays a significant part in what you see or don't see. My thanks and appreciation to Angel, Mzwandile and Tenashe for making the stay so memorable."

Rhino Walking Safaris

Rhino Walking Safaris

10/10 Excellent
". A very private location in the bush. Staff: friendly and very efficient. Very clean and well-organized rooms: warm duvets, scented linens, a full bathroom courtesy set, a flashlight for the night, and insect repellent spray are provided in the room. The cuisine is amazing: tasty, well-cooked, hot, and beautifully served. The guide is very courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. An intense holiday experience in a magical setting. There are only four very large tents, and they are well-distributed in the bush. Everyone dines at a table together. The table is set with white, well-ironed tablecloths, and the glassware is worthy of a fine dining establishment."

"The complex has an excellent restaurant with great views of wildlife and the service was exceptional. The Gym was very good and its equipment was pristine. Our Boma was very private and it had nice views of various species of wildlife walking by every afternoon as they made their way into the bush for the evening."
