"Great location! Steps from some of the best restaurants, the train station, and bussing up to Machu Picchu. If you get a room facing the river, the views are magnificent. The constant roar of the river rapids makes for great sleep. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I have stayed in other hotels in this town, as well as looked into just about all of them. For the price, the suites facing the river are the best I have found."

"This is an elegant new hotel in a fabulous setting along the river. We were very excited to rest and recover there after the Inca Trail.
However, the vibe at this hotel is seriously off. It was almost empty (and it's a large hotel), and the staff were stiff and formal. We had to sign a waiver of liability for "flames coursing through the building" before we were shown to our large and comfortable room overlooking the river.
