"Beautiful, big, modern room looking out over the river. Very quiet and convenient. The bath was big enough i could lay down all the way, I am 5'8". We were misinformed regarding the breakfast, if you want it a 12£ book the night before, or you're stuck paying 17£. I spoke with manager about it, she was very nice and understanding but did not reimburse us the 10£, which i found a bit cheeky. If we were back home in Montreal, they would of reimbursed us! Customer service is quite different in...

"Easy to access from train station about 10mins walk. Shrubbery gives a nice nature feel room was clean and a the pub had great food. Had two single beds maybe a bit small for some people."

"This beautiful hotel would benefit from having a ‘Scottish ‘theme to it . Obviously this is just a personal view, but its attempt to modernise has removed the authentic character of the building. The dining room felt rather like a school dining room with tables lined up in exact straight rows. No table cloths, no curtains, just blinds which made the room very noisy & rather unwelcoming. "

"We booked specifically for an overnight stay so we would be relatively close to attend a wonderful concert at Kilmelford Village Hall ,approx a 10 minutes drive away . We've had a very busy schedule recently and the hotel and tranquil peaceful surrounds and lovely views across the bay , was just what we needed. We were lucky the sun shone and we were able to spend a blissful hour or two after checking in ,sitting out on the patio with a nice cup of tea and cake. We weren't able to dine...

"Lovely boutique hotel just out of the town with a nice view. A ideal place to be for quiet but within driving distance of Oban. Although our room was lovely and we had a good view of the loch, we could also see the bins right below our room, this could be avoided by just covering the bin area."

"The Douglas House is within walking distance of the Brodick Ferry Dock and a short drive/taxi ride to Brodick Castle. "

"Four of us (all adults) spent two nights in Inverary and had reserved three rooms at the hotel months in advance. From the very first interaction with the staff, we were in love. Our rooms were large and comfortable, with lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the main street. "The location is very good. apartment is average, old looking and dark. stairs leading up to the apartment was unclean and filthy. Front door key was fiddly and difficult to open most of the times. Sauna was nice and the most important plus point in the apartment."

"Humdinger! Knockderry House was a gorgeous respite for two days, stunning and beautifully maintained, a tranquil escape from the usual. The staff was charming and chatty and enormously helpful. DInners were excellent. We loved our stay!"
