"Wunderschöner Garten mit Blick auf die Landebahn (Flughafen stört nicht, es landen nur wenige Flieger), super Frühstück mit selbst gemachtem Joghurt, Eier von eigenen Hühnern und sehr nettem Personal. "Great location in Velas, beautiful property with pool, sitting deck with ocean view, sunsets and Morro Grande view and hiking within 10 minutes walk. Close to supermarket and restaurants, ideal location in Velas. Good buffet breakfast. Beds were a little too firm for me but great for my partner...highly recommended for location, cleanliness and great staff! "

"Wonderful studio that overcame our expectations. Perfectly situated one step to the church and the ferry terminal. Madalena as such isn‘t spectacular, but a lovely little community. "This was a no-frills, simple hotel. It was a great value, and was clean, quiet, and relaxing. The staff were so kind, and laid back. The view from the patio in our room was lovely. The shared kitchen area was a nice place to cook a meal, and there were three adorable cats around the property who we loved petting. The location was great for exploring various parts of Pico. "

"Le lieu est magnifique : en pleine nature, entouré de vignes et bercé le matin par le chant des oiseaux. Les différentes vues sont inoubliables, que ce soit sur le mont Pico ou sur la mer. "We loved our stay at horta garden. We generally like to interact with locals and have peace and quiet so that we can rest after doing outdoor activities all day. Horta garden fit that explanation perfectly. The Cafe downstairs is convenient and there are tons of local food options close by. "House is in quiet place, full of nature. I received a really big house, fine in the appearance, very clean and completely fournished. Comfort was at top and all was working perfectly. Portugal's highest mountain! Mt. Pico in Azores Islandsl! Pico Island was my last day in the Azores and it was my only day there. A great way to end my March 2019 trip. This majestic volcano is 2,351 m (7,713 ft) above sea level, and is one of the highest Atlantic mountains; it is more than twice the elevation of any other peak in the Azores. And there are breathtaking views from all across the small volcanic island. I got many good shots of it, including this one. I took a tour around some parts of the island, before flying out of the Azores that day. It was a really great way to end this trip! And this being one of the best spots to see the volcano. It's an idyllic lake view! There was even some birds in the water :). Also, Pico doesn't have nearly as many tourists as the main Azores island. Which makes this all the more peaceful. And in the tradition of the Portuguese poet, Raul Brandão, Pico is referred to as the Ilha Preta ("Black Island"), for its black volcanic earth, responsible for its UNESCO-designated historical vineyards that allowed the development of the island. If anyone goes to the Azores I really recommend a stay on Pico!
